Version of Holy Hell on YouTube

Version of Holy Hell on YouTube

There's a version of Holy Hell on YouTube at the moment for those unable to access it elsewhere.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46rAkIkc75s

Some of the audio, mainly background music is missing, but the narrative of the documentary is intact.

This documentary covers a cult where the devotees have a powerful experience of their master.

It shows that a powerful experience of your master is no proof that your master is enlightened, contrary to the believe of Isha meditators.

Sadhguru Lying to Make Himself the Victim of Nepal Tragedy

Sadhguru, who did not know that the Nepal disaster happened until he was informed of the news, is now claiming to have been badly affected by it. He is the real victim of this tragedy, not the people of Nepal and Tibet, not the missing pilgrims, he, the great yogi, made the mistake of tying up his life-energies with those on the yatra. What a way to disrespect all those in the group.

I have no words.

Also, please note that many Isha pilgrims do get affected by altitude sickness. One of the reasons the Isha yatra is less dangerous that other Kailash Manasarovar yatras is because Isha do not do the Kailash parikrama - this is an arduous trek over three days that takes pilgrims to higher altitudes. Sadhguru claims it is because of his life-energies. He is lying.

Heart wrenching

This is heart wrenching to read.

I pray this mother (like all the others caught up in this tragedy) finds some news of her daughter.

On top of that, to feel unsupported by an organisation you had faith in, to feel let down... I'm sorry she has to go through that in addition to the unfathomable chasm of grief dealing with the loss of her daughter. Surely he could have sent a handful of bramacharis / senior ishangas to be in Nepal and liase with and accompany families in their searches? Surely that would have been the decent and most supportive thing?

Instead it's a quick Kalabhairava Karma and move on. From what I hear, families were not ready for it.

Incorrect Timings

Isha gave incorrect timings in both its statements to world media - the initial interview with Maa Gambhiri and Sadhguru’s statement.

Maa claimed they spoke with group lead, Praveen, at 9:05. And that within ten minutes the flood struck them and they were unreachable.

Sadhguru said that at 9:05 they received a message from Praveen saying they had arrived at immigration and that “this happened” (the flood) at 9:14. This has been repeated by others in Isha to the media and loved ones.

These clips and Isha statements have been put out in international media and have been used as a reference point not just for the loved ones of our Isha group, but for those of many other groups too.

The security camera footage at the Gyirong checkpoint says 10:59. That's China time, which would be 8:44 Nepal time or 8:29 India time. Reports say the glacier collapsed at 8:37. This glacier was only a little upstream of the check point. The waters reached Syabrubesi, further downstream from the checkpoint at 8:50. The timings put out by Isha are false.

Loved ones of those at the check-point also have the timings of their own last contact with the group and the mobile phone last connect timings.

The false information by Isha has caused unnecessary confusion for these people who have been going through too much as it is. In some cases it may have also given people false hope.

Isha has not corrected this nor apologised. They should have done so in the recent statement they put out.

As usual Isha is more interested in protecting the reputation of Sadhguru than the in facts.

And we expect our guru to be with us in these most difficult of times. He didn't even know it was happening. He didn’t even know when it happened. He could well have been lounging around eating a 5* hotel breakfast at the time.

Lost Lives

We the moderators of this forum and many in the ex-Isha community are devastated to hear of the Isha group who were lost in the flood. We hope that somehow they have found their way to safety and we are waiting to hear updates.

According to Jaggi, the missing are from the following countries: 22 are from the US, 12 from Canada, 11 from Australia, 9 from the United Kingdom, 4 from Germany, 3 from France, 3 from Nepal, 2 from The Netherlands, 2 from New Zealand, Spain and Singapore, 1 from Finland, Hungary, Israel, Lithuania, Philippines, Portugal, Russia and South Africa. These claims have not yet been independently verified, but unlikely to be wrong.

Our thoughts are of the what the group (and everyone else there) went through as that flood hit and with the families and friends of each one of them. We knew some of them well and loved them.

Swami Nirmalananda’s last words about Sadhguru.

In December 1996, Sadhguru took Vijji and several inmates of the ashram to visit Swami Nirmalananda. He seemed physically weak, and it was clear that the day of his mahasamadhi was not far. He was a man at peace with himself, and his presence struck his visitors as sacred. Some were moved to tears.

The Swami consoled them. "I may not be here the next time you visit," he said quietly, "but you will be able to feel my presence everywhere." His advice to them was to remain fearless. He assured them that they had a guru who was capable of leading them to the highest spiritual attainments. "Trust him and be true to your sadhana. He will do the rest," he said.

Keith Raniere - Sadhguru parallels

Just listened to this conversation. It contains quite a few chunks that feel very relevant and very resonant to the experience of ex-Ishaites. Hopefully helpful for those of us reflecting on our own experiences or seeking insight.
