KAILASHA VADHYAM 🥁🥁 Reviving the Sacred Drum Tradition

Every temple and spiritual place has some form of aaradhana, aarti, or devotional performance, music, dance, or sung prayer. Drum beating is one of the most common expressions of this devotion. In South Indian temples it is often highly organised, yet on some occasions the practice loses its purpose and quality.

I have long felt there should be teaching and training to preserve the very old tradition of sacred drumming and spiritual sound. That dream has come true with the Kailasha Vadyam training now happening in Visakhapatnam.

Kailasha Vadyam refers to the music of Kailash, the abode of Shiva. It is an amalgamation of instrumental sounds designed to transform any atmosphere into an experiential Kailash. Many of us have experienced this powerful offering in honour of Shiva.

"Do we need army protection for pilgrimages in our own country? Thoughts on Amarnath Yatra and Hindu identity"

Have you ever heard of needing army protection in your own country for a pilgrimage ?

Right now the Amarnath Yatra (03July to 28 Aug 2026) is underway. This annual pilgrimage takes devotees to the sacred Amarnath cave in Jammu & Kashmir, where the naturally formed ice Shiva Lingam is worshipped. Many Hindu yatras, including Amarnath, require extensive security arrangements , that's a worrying reality. Ensuring the safety of all devotees for every religion is the Gov duty and responsibility in general, but it's unfortunate where so much protection is needed,

At the same time. The core tenets of Hindu culture are "Ahimsa Paramo Dharma" (nonviolence is the highest duty) and "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" (the world is one family). Hindu society stands for tolerance, restraint, and justice , May Lord Shiva bless every pilgrim, every devotee, and the entire team working day and night to organise this beautiful yatra. Shiv Shambhu.

Mount Kailash: The Eternal Abode of Shiva

Where the silence of the Himalayas holds the living pulse of yogic wisdom,

Mount Kailash is revered as one of the most sacred places on Earth. In his discourses, Sadguru explains that Kailash is not merely a physical mountain but the Abode of Shiva.

Shiva, the Adiyogi poured his entire yogic knowledge and spiritual energy into this peak, preserving his life’s work in an eternal energetic form. By choosing Kailash, Shiva ensured that the original yogic sciences would remain accessible to seekers across time. In yogic tradition, Shiva is not seen as a mythological figure but as the first Yogi , the source of all yogic sciences transmitted to humanity. Over centuries, realized masters and mystics have journeyed to Kailash, depositing their own spiritual attainments and teachings.

Honor the Legacy

Live so your parents can stand a little taller because of you.

Air Chief Marshal AP Singh’s counsel “Don’t do anything that your parents won’t be proud of” is a timeless reminder to carry integrity, duty, and respect into every choice. In a world of quick gains and easy shortcuts, this simple moral compass asks us to measure success not only by achievement but by the quiet approval of those who raised us. Let their values guide your actions; the truest honor is living in a way that reflects their sacrifices and makes them proud.

Allow yourself to be proud of yourself and all the progress you've made. Especially the progress no one else has seen.

There is no such thing as progress or regress. The world is not getting better and better, nor is it getting worse and worse. It is simply moving along into the future,

People from multiple religious traditions came together, bringing sacred offerings and heartfelt respect. Ekadashi The Lunar Pause "A Simple Fast"

Ekadashi is the 11th day of the lunar cycle. On this day, our body naturally does not demand food. Fasting on this day helps cleanse the system and turn our awareness inward. After having your dinner tonight, you can fast until the next dinner. If you are unable to do a full fast, having a light, fruit diet on this day is also beneficial.
