Probably fake AirPods Pro 3 showing up as two separate Bluetooth devices — is there any way to fix this?
Hi! I recently bought what were supposed to be AirPods Pro 3 from a private seller, but I’ve realized they’re probably fake. I’m guessing that’s the reason I’m having this issue, but I’m wondering if there’s still any way to get them working properly even if they are fake.
Both earbuds are the same model (A3065), and the charging case is A3122. However, my iPhone detects the earbuds as two separate Bluetooth devices, both originally named “AirPods Pro.” One connection plays the right earbud and the other plays the left earbud. They also appear as two separate devices in Find My.
I tried forgetting both Bluetooth devices and resetting/re-pairing them. The case responds to the double-tap setup process, and the light flashes white for a few seconds, but then turns orange and shuts off. It never successfully completes the pairing.
When I put either earbud in the case individually, everything seems normal. The problem only happens when I try to pair both earbuds together.
I also charged the case for 20+ minutes before trying to reset them again, but that didn’t help.
I know they’re probably counterfeit, so I’m not expecting them to work exactly like genuine AirPods. I’m just wondering if there’s any workaround that could make the two earbuds sync and function as one pair, even if they’re replicas.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
