Logo for a streetwear brand

So the brand is called "UNPOLISHED". I put on some texture to give it an unpolished energy. The symbol is a stylish "U" with some inspiration on sci-fi, because that's the vibe that the client likes the most and pretends to do stuff with that theme. I tried to make it a little bit like a black hole. The texture will be just for the online branding, I know it would not work for physical printing.

What do you guys think ? Does it read nicely ?

Getting a logo designed and my designer has missed every single deadline, do I dispute this charge?

To preface, I commissioned a logo from someone for $500. Paid upfront, and he texted me saying it would be around a week turnaround time. On his site it said about 2 weeks, but 3 weeks went by and still nothing. He would text a deadline (I.e: "will be done by end of this week") and miss it every single time. This happened around 3-4 times before I got my actual draft of the logo. He sent them on May 8th, and I asked for a revision. 5 days went by without hearing from him, and I texted him what the deal was. He set another deadline for Tuesday, missed it, and when I asked where it was he said Wednesday. He went completely radio silent again. Curious if anyone has experience with this, I know these things take time but I am obviously not a priority to him, thanks!

Not that anybody asked, but if I was to make a retro disco ball treatment for Spotify, it'd look something like this

LAMPE (Business solutions)

A relative is starting a business solutions/consulting/accounting self-employed company. Her surname, Lampe, derives from the word "Lamp". She asked me to review her logo concepts (seen in slide 1). They were probably done in Canva, and to me, honestly, they look more like a nail studio logo than a business logo.

I made 5 concepts (seen in slide 2) that I think give off a little more professional vibe. Numbers 2 and 5 are simplified from her concepts. The color is only preliminary, but she said that she would prefer not to use yellow.

Do you think the original concept styles would be worth using, since she seems to prefer a more artsy vibe, or do you prefer any of the other 5 concepts?

Your Thoughts?

What are your thoughts on the logo refresh?

Honestly, I like the refresh as it is cohesive with the recent Google logo refresh, making them look part of the same family.

Is this the worst logo redesign of all time? (Disk Utility)

The realistic one is old, the bolt with the apple logo is new

Feedback on my logo — illustration & graphic design activity

Hi everyone, looking for honest feedback on my personal brand logo. I’m a graphic designer and illustrator based in Belgium, working on my future independent identity called Tip Of Black.

The name comes from “blacktip shark” — an animal I’ve always loved drawing since I was little and that I used as a previous logo. So it felt natural to build around it.

The goal was an illustrated logo that represents both sides of my work. A wordmark will be added later — probably two versions, one more graphic for merch and one cleaner for client-facing use.

The shark silhouette is intentionally angular and dynamic, integrated into a vintage-style star shape. References are Y2K aesthetics, underground rave culture, and streetwear. I don’t want it to scream “realistic shark” — the intent is something abstract and graphic while keeping a slight mascot/pet vibe.

My work mostly orbits around rave, streetwear, sci-fi and vintage design. My illustration side leans toward concept art and sci-fi as well.

The other images are previous versions and explorations

Looking for feedback on my company logo design

I recently registered a company and hired someone to create a company design scheme.
I'm overall happy with the result but would like some feedback.

Why can you recognize some brands instantly even without seeing the logo?

Some brands are recognizable almost instantly, even without the logo.

The colors, layouts, tone, or overall style already make it obvious who it’s from.

Then there are brands where every post or design feels disconnected, so nothing really sticks in your mind.

Feels like strong brands build recognition through consistency and repeated patterns rather than one single element.

Illustrative logo

A logo is not just typography, and a logo does not have to be simple.

It should be obvious that a logo for an IT company and a logo for an alcoholic beverage are two completely different tasks with different visual requirements. Where a digital service needs instant readability and neutrality, an alcohol brand often needs atmosphere, character, storytelling, and emotional impact.

What you see here is an illustrated logo created for an alcoholic beverage. It was not designed as an app icon or another generic geometric symbol inside a circle. Its purpose is to create emotion, capture attention, and build an association with the brand before a person even reads the name.

The entire process is shown step by step: from the initial pencil sketch to the final engraved illustration. This is what the work of a real illustrator looks like — not a one-click image generation.

A complex illustrated logo is not a mistake. The mistake is believing that every brand should look the same.
