I'm based in Chicago and currently preparing my application for the 2027 Huayu Enrichment Scholarship (LEP track). I'm looking to connect with others going through the same process so we can share resources, tips, deadlines, and support each other through the application.

I'm starting a WhatsApp group chat for:

• 2027 HES applicants (any US state welcome, not just Chicago)
• People targeting the LEP track specifically
• Anyone who wants to share resources, ask questions, and navigate the process together

Things we can share:

• Application tips and document checklists
• TOCFL prep resources
• School recommendations and experiences
• Financial proof requirements
• Interview tips if applicable
• General Taiwan study abroad advice

I completed a 3-week Mandarin immersion program at NTNU in Taipei this past August and achieved B1 oral certification, so I have some firsthand experience with studying in Taiwan to share as well!

How do I get in contact with our office I have a few questions I wanted to ask before I apply for the fall 2027 cycle but they have yet to respond to my emails and it seems the only take appointments but when I call there’s no info on how to make an appointment 😵‍💫
