Why do people go missing onboard
Victorious Ace (IMO 9610406) is a Japan-flagged car/vehicle carrier. According to ClassNK records, its Registered Owner is Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd., while the Management Company is MOL Global Ship Management Pte.
According to the family, the company informed them that Shinton could not be found onboard the ship. At the time, the vessel was sailing from South Africa to Singapore. According to reports, the ship altered its voyage to search for Shinton. The family has filed a complaint/FIR with the Njarackal Police and has also sought help from the Chief Minister, Union Minister of State Suresh Gopi, and Ernakulam MP Hibi Eden.
According to the family, Shinton had spoken to his family over the phone on the night before he went missing. He had been undergoing training onboard the vessel for around five months and was scheduled to complete his six-month training next month
