Strawberry cream cheese is the bomb!
I just had a sudden craving for a bagel with some strawberry cream cheese. Seriously, nothing could possibly hit the spot the way that would right now. I’m heading to Food Lion.
Men who think doing dishes, laundry or cleaning is feminine
I’m a man myself. I promise you that I’m not feminine. But I do dishes, laundry and clean the house. I feel like that’s just something a real man ought to do to help his wife out. Just imagine some dude joining the Marine Corps and refusing to do laundry or clean. He’d have himself a hell of a time.
That blond kid in Pat Benatar’s video did not want to be there.
In the We Belong music video you will see a quire of children holding candles and singing. There is one kid, a blond headed boy who looks about as enthusiastic as if he were going to the dentist. He looks like I did when I was forced to sing in that school Christmas thing. I just always find it amusing.
Was/ is the rebel flag acceptable at your high school?
I’m ashamed of this now, but I used to have a rebel flag pin on my hat that I wore through my teenage years. I also had a rebel flag plate on the front of my truck. What can I say, I was raised by racist assholes. The Marines fixed me. I definitely wasn’t the only one. There were plenty of other white trash kids walking around with shirts, hats, keychains etc. I don’t know why it was tolerated in my school. The vice principal was a black dude. He would call us out for wearing shirts with guns, gun brands, booze and tobacco logos. But he literally never called anyone out for displaying the rebel flag on school grounds. I should have been forced to leave my pin and front plate at home.
Under developed carpenter bee?
I assume this is a carpenter bee that left its hole too early. Am I correct?
My racist dad got mad at me for not being part Native American
I, an adult man, took an ancestry DNA test over a decade ago. I told my parents that we were mostly Anglo and Irish with a little Asian sprinkled in. I told them that, despite the rumors, our family didn’t have a trace of Native American DNA. My dad lost it. He yelled at me as if it was my fault. Then he went outside to be alone. I think he was mad because I was part Asian. I don’t know if it’s because he’s worried he’s part Asian or that my mom is. It’s not as if he is concerned that my mom cheated on him considering I look exactly like him. And I was able to find his long lost sister through the test. He’s honestly just racist. I guess being part Native American is cool but not Asian.
I’m too embarrassed to fly my Nation’s flag now.
I’ve always been a patriotic U.S. citizen. I even served four years in the military out of pure patriotism, however misguided that may have been. I was young. I’ve flown a flag in my yard since I bought my house in 2008. It recently got ripped up by wind and rain. I usually replace my damaged flag pretty promptly. I’m just not doing it this time. I’m not flying the U.S. flag until we get our shit together. We’ve always had our problems, but things have gotten so bad that I can’t even be proud anymore. I wish I could.
Are there actually grossly neglected ruins in the U.K.?
There are some overgrown castle ruins in S3 E7 of Primeval. I can’t say I’ve ever been across the pond for much more than a layover. I was just under the impression that folks over there took good care of most of their historically significant sights, especially ones in as good of shape as the one in the show. I could definitely understand neglecting the odd foundation, stone wall or chimney. But I’d be surprised if ruins in such good shape would be left to the elements.
My parent’s don’t care about my family.
My wife, and the mother of my two kids, has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She requires a medication that is allegedly elective. She uses hormone replacement to keep it under control. It shouldn’t cost us a fortune just to keep her alive. My wife and I have been married for over 18 years. Her and my parents have spent a lot of time together. They are well aquatinted. But the hell if they’ll say a single bad word about the orange moron or the yes men he surrounds himself with. They’d rather double down and say that nobody actually deserves affordable healthcare. And they believe that hormones are an elective thing no matter what condition they suffer from.
What do you figure this is?
My chickens dug this up. It couldn’t have been more than a couple inches deep. I took the best pictures I could. Im guessing it’s either a pig or cow. I bet y’all can figure it out.
I have two paid off vehicles. I own a 2013 Dodge Caravan and a 2012 Toyota Tacoma. They are both very reliable and I’d like to keep them running as long as possible. What parts should I stock up on for future repairs before they stop manufacturing said parts? I take good care of them, but I’m no mechanic. I keep up on basic maintenance including the occasional engine flush. I just know that the last thing I want is a newer vehicle. They seem like more trouble than they’re worth. Please, for the sake of my bank account, what parts are the most likely to fail in the next 5- 10 years? What parts are likely to become practically unavailable in the future if I don’t buy them soon?
I don’t think the thunderbirds of Native American lore was a myth. I think they just went extinct. The land bridge, Beringia, allowed for navigation from Asia around 35,700 years ago. It remained traversable until about 11,000 years ago. All manner of critters, big and small, would have migrated along side humans. One such animal was likely a very large bird known as the Eurasian Griffin Vulture. They weigh about 23 lbs. and reach wingspans over 9 feet. Sounds like a thunderbird to me. I remember how impressive they seemed the first time I saw them in the Middle East. Their populations probably slowly dwindled due to common buzzards outcompeting them. They breed faster and are more adaptable. They can nest about anywhere while Eurasian Vultures are sort of picky. I’d honestly be willing to bet they only completely disappeared in the last 100 years or so. Anyway, that’s my rather poorly researched theory based off of absolutely no hard evidence. So don’t be too hard on me.
You probably know about people who win sweepstakes or 2nd place on a game show. They often times win a one year supply of some snack, soft drink or other product. Who decides how much an individual or family will consume in 365 days?
