Jannhit mein jaari baddie bachao yojana aka janaushadhi kendra skincare(public service announcement for gov skincare)https://janaushadhi.gov.in/

You've to scroll to get the skincare list. I'd advice u to download it!! So JA skincare is decent and cheap. It has codes on the packaging. There is scam that the pharmacist will give u non generic expensive meds to always check for codes. I have tried the aloe lotion(good handcream), SA facewash(ok), dandruff shampoo(drying)

It gets the work done, not groundbreaking but is decent Link https://janaushadhi.gov.in

How should u store your beauty products?? Source-science of beauty by dr Wong(labmuffin)

You've probably had a beauty product go bad at some point. It might have changed color, smell, or texture or grown a bit of mold Most often it means the product is no longer safe or effective. Here are some tips-

  • Adhere to the Storage instructions.

-Store products in a cool place, as heat can cause ingredients to break down and emulsions to separate.

Sunscreens are particularly sensitive to high temperatures. Many microbes also multiply faster in hot places. Most products will last longer if refrigerated, but freezing usually causes separation.

-Store products away from light, as it can also decompose many ingredients like sunscreens, fragrances, skincare actives, and natural extracts. Opaque packaging is often used to protect sensitive products.

-Keep containers closed when not in use, as oxygen can oxidize many ingredients, and any air or water going into the product can introduce microbes.

-Avoid using products in humid bathrooms(again microbes thrive in humid environment)

  • Keep products in their original packaging, as products can react with packaging materials, so compatibility is tested before manufacture. For example, many sunscreens can react with plastics, acids can corrode metal springs, and silicone hair products can react with silicone packaging.

-Packaging is often carefully chosen to protect the specific formula. Transferring a product to different packaging can also expose it to a lot of oxygen and microbes in the air.

Why you should read Dr michelle wong's The Science of Beauty (labmuffin)

It is accessible, easy to understand and doesn't push myths and useless products (no ads).

The author is chemistry phd ,very involved in the online sphere(has great youtube and insta content). It covers everything-haircare, skincare, makeup, natural beauty products, beauty industry, misinformation EVERYTHING!!!

She also explains product science clearly. I recommend EVERYONE interested in skincare/haircare/beauty read this book cover to cover

Every question that is asked in this sub can easily be found in it easily. Also it has great pictorials.

Honestly it is great book for beauty enthusiasts and is more structured then her youtube.

The hardbook is beautiful and has really good quality paper(saw in library) and is 800 rs in amazon. So if u can support her that would be better.

How to deal with mini begging by male friends?

I have noticed 2 male friends (both platonic and in relationships with some other people so no alleged biryani 370 mindset ) have been trying to push their small buys to me. Example if i am buying in a shop they'll come in and take things and i am supposed to pay for it now. They don't do it with other men and just me. And they manipulate w bogus claims when i say no(btw i am super direct). The amount isn't high but it adds up and is super annoying. Honestly its icky and i actively avoid the more shameless one. Btw they do it to each other as well but it cancels out(cause they both do it to eachother). How to deal with people lile these? I have always have had more female friends and we mostly pay in rotation so i am never used to this behaviour. (In a college) they both come from well to do families and get (this is funny) double my pocket money.

Also not trying to make it into a gender war thingy, and this is not satire.

Example- i am buying groceries and they'll add chips and coldrinks. The amount is low enough but the entitlement is off the roof. When i swallow my pride and try to act like them, suddenly their parents are poor and old also honestly i find it repulsive to be like them
