Is this a reasonable Fittr fat-loss diet for a 36M, 79 kg, 169 cm, 26% body fat? The food volume seems unusually high
I recently joined FITTR’s premium fat-loss coaching program and wanted to get some outside opinions on the meal plan I’ve been given.
I’m 36M, 79 kg, 169 cm, ~26% body fat, and currently exercising 3 times a week.
I’m specifically instructed to finish the prescribed macros — neither less nor more.
Here’s an example of my daily plan:
Breakfast — 474 kcal / 25.6 g protein
50 g bread OR 40 g oats OR 40 g poha
3 whole eggs
5 g ghee/oil
10 g nuts
50 ml milk
Lunch — 688 kcal / 44 g protein
10 g ghee/oil
45 g raw dal/rajma/chickpeas/moth beans
100 g curd
60 g raw grains/wheat flour/etc.
42 g raw soya chunks
150 g green vegetables
Snack — 109 kcal / 1.9 g protein
150 g apple
50 ml milk
Dinner — 589 kcal / 22.1 g protein
60 g raw wheat flour/rice/oats/etc.
12 g ghee/oil
100 g green vegetables
75 g paneer
My concern is mainly the volume of food, particularly lunch. For example, lunch is essentially a large bowl of dal, a big bowl serving of soya, a serving of green vegetables, two rotis and curd, in addition to the cooking fat. Coming from a household where our usual meals are much simpler, this feels like a very large meal with 4–5 separate components. The quantities also seem substantially larger than what I’m accustomed to eating.
I’m not saying the food itself is unhealthy. I’m trying to understand whether the calorie/protein target and distribution make sense for my stats.
If I’m consistently too full to finish a prescribed meal, should I actually force myself to finish it to hit the macros, or would it normally make more sense to redistribute/adjust the portions?
For anyone who has used FITTR premium coaching, does this type of meal plan look normal in your experience?
I’m not trying to bash FITTR or the coach. It’s a fairly expensive program, so I’d just like to understand whether this is a normal and sensible approach to fat loss before I go back and look for replacement as it’s just one week.
