Unfair game

I sort of already gave up on the game. I am one of the beta testers, but I just got tired of it. Anyway, I won’t play EA then. When I play some football, I stick with UFL, but I am not grinding like I was before. I used to be platinum, but so far I have 28 games this season (26 wins and 2 losses). So, I played against a guy with more losses than wins, like 50 losses and 25 wins. I knew from the beginning the game would make me lose because I had this double winning points. My team was not performing as it usually does, it felt super heavy, many shots and no goal, while for the other guy every single shot was a goal. This game is still not offering fair play. So disappointing.

Drum bass Alesis Strata Prime vs Roland KD-10

Hey guys,

I have an Alesis Strata Prime and I’ve been facing issues with the bass drum. All the time it doesn’t sound right — often it gives some ghost notes I didn’t play, or I feel it doesn’t respond as precisely as I wanted. I usually play a lot of double bass and that’s when I notice those issues the most. I feel it can’t handle it, sorry.

I had a Roland KD-10 laying around and after trying all kinds of setup combinations and even some tuning tweaks to check if anything would change with Alesis drum bass, I decided to remove the Alesis drum bass and try the Roland KD-10. To my surprise, without changing any other setting it just worked perfectly, solving all the issues I was having.

I played all the songs I used to have problems with and it seems solid now! I’ve been having issues with the Alesis setup for a while. You need to invest a lot of time to make sure it doesn’t miss notes or create ghost notes. With the bass drum I couldn’t solve it, but switching to the Roland did! It sucks to go back to an older piece of gear but it works better.

Another benefit is that the Roland Kd-10 is much quieter than the Alesis one! 🫠

Tell me I’m crazy? Any tips?

My Alesis Prime Strata kit

Hey, I got this kit 4 months ago. I live in Switzerland and people here are extremely noise sensitive. I was concerned about my neighbor downstairs. I made sure to have a redundant system with a platform from thomannmmusic, noise eater from Roland, and those vibration isolators from washing machines.

So far nobody has complained, and I am even playing on Sundays and holidays (a big no-go for noise in Switzerland). I still need to connect my Roland SPD-SX PRO Sampling Pad in the same line as the drums to have both in my ears and also out to record. If anyone has any idea on how to do it, let me know.

I added these two Roland BT-1 to my module as Stack and Splash.

My only complaint about the Alesis is the extra notes I don't play on the kick. I sort of solved it in the settings, but I have a feeling that when I am playing through my phone connected via Bluetooth, the drums miss some notes from time to time.
