I cannot believe I’m even writing this but my 4th IUI was the one that worked! I got my positive test on Monday and I could not believe it!

After my 3rd IUI cycle failed, we met with my doctor and she recommended 3 more IUI’s before discussing potentially going to IVF. The 4th IUI cycle I had 4 follicles but they weren’t quite mature on the day of my CD11 ultrasound so they recommended that I trigger two days later and then come back the following day after for the procedure. I was so sure that this cycle would fail that I really didn’t get my hopes up and didn’t test early or anything because I was so sure it wouldn’t work! I had absolutely no symptoms at all this cycle which is why I was convinced that it didn’t work and thought my follicles weren’t mature enough by the time we did the procedure but I guess I was wrong!

I’ve had two blood draws done so far with the first one being on Tuesday and then my most recent one being yesterday and my numbers went from 253.84 to 689.25 in 48 hours!

I go to the doctor in two weeks for my first ultrasound at 6.5weeks!

Stats for this cycle were:

4 follicles: -Left Ovary before trigger: 9.8mm, 8.4mm -Right Ovary before trigger: 14.1mm, 10.3mm

Lining was 7.7mm

Post wash was 60.84 million with 95% progressive motility.

Today is my 3rd iui today after two unsuccessful cycles! I took 5mg of letrozole again this cycle and I triggered at 7pm last night. I’m hopeful for this cycle to work but I’m still nervous that it will fail like the other two have!

According to my clinic since this is my 3rd cycle I have to meet with my doctor and kind of do a follow up/ next steps meeting after this and that is more nerve racking then doing my 3rd cycle

Was anybody here successful on the 3rd cycle?? I need some hope!

Today was my second iui after my first cycle last month failed. Last cycle was on letrozole 2.5mg and only got one 19.6mm follicle and 9.6 for my lining. I did my trigger shot the same day I had my mid cycle ultrasound. My husband’s post wash was 59.94 million which we were both surprised by and we unfortunately got our hopes up and it failed.

This cycle I was on the same dose of letrozole and same trigger shot but only got one follicle at 21.7mm which I was happy about but my lining went down to 8.0mm. My doctor said those were still great numbers for an iui but I’m trying not to be discouraged and already count myself out. I’m also trying not to overthink everything this cycle because that really
messed up my mental health last cycle when it failed
