Driving around this area.

Why do people drive with their bright lights on constantly? When it starts to rain, I can not see a dang thing at all and I’m 27 years old. Is it not dangerous for people to do that??

Also why does the city not have many street light?? That could help?

In the last 2 days I have experienced some of the WORST drivers around on top of almost getting into wrecks bc no one is paying attention , or using any signals on the car…

A car wanted to switch lanes while I’m next to them. They didn’t put their blinker on and almost ran me off the side of the road bc they just didn’t look to even see if the lane was clear to cross.

I was leaving sams and a car pulled out in front of me WITHOUT looking both ways so they begin to pull out and my car instantly brakes so hard….

If none of that is happening… I am stuck behind a random car that’s is going 35 MPH in a 45 MPH area.

WHAT IS GOING ON AROUND HERE???
Cars are so dangerous and I am scared to even drive around here bc no one knows simple driving etiquette or cares

I am about to lose my cool bc it’s making the roads so much more for dangerous…

People that don’t tip.

people say i shouldn't have to tip, tipping culture sucks. I agree when it comes to maybe getting a coffee or something along those lines. but at a restauran? you say it’s there job. they should find a better one. or the restaurant should pay better. sometimes places are struggling as is to stay afloat. regardless of that. if you don’t like tipping. then how about restaurants operated with no waiters? you have to grab menus yourself, then wait in a line to put a order in, then possibly rewait if you want something more. go get your own drinks, clean your own table when your done, possibly clean your table before you sit because it wasn't cleaned enough. Wash your dishes. Do that then sure it’s ok not to tip. People want to be waited on hand and foot, and have the convenience of the services provided to them. But then justify tipping is stupid. Or it comes with the job. Ok then nobody wants to be a waiter then? then restaurants close. Ok they get paid better well then prices go way up. I get some restaurants are pulling bank but a lot of mom and pop are holding on by a thread. Either way person going to the restaurant will have to pay one way or another in the end. But moral of the story you want the luxury of not having to cook, clean, wait in line. Just pay the dam tip. Dosent have to be a crazy amount… I’ve always felt like the ones who say they don’t wanna tip tend to be the people that eat out the most. You obviously like the services and luxury of eating out..So pay for it. if its that terrible how about you get a better job. like you tell waiters you don’t wanna tip.

Horrible food options

I’m just curious if anyone else feels like our food options from Hendersonville to Asheville are some of the worst and most unpleasant experiences I have ever had.

I do come from a larger city so I am used to much more restaurant options, juice places, and places with just incredibly good food and drinks.

I feel like we have almost no quality restaurants around us… if it does seem decent… the service is awful or the food taste so bad. No good flavors, very bland, or lukewarm.

I have been also working in the restaurant industry for about 16 years and I’m truly baffled by the options and service we can receive.

Or they close at 8pm…? It’s barely dark at that time.

If I am wrong, please tell me where to go in this town to get any decent food consistently or good drinks…. Bc im really starting to dislike it here and would love to have a better experience

Shine?

Has anyone experienced weird and almost arrogant vibes when visiting shine? Felt very unwelcoming. Just seems off inside that place and no one really seems to have a clue to what is going on when it comes to
being a successful restaurant…
weird menu and weirder staff. They refuse to put any effort in accommodating ANY request to food, drinks, or seating.. They completely go against the true meaning of hospitality in my opinion.
