I've had my old Dude for 8ish years, he was abandoned at my house, nearly died as I wasn't a plant person back then. But Dude changed all that. Well today I'm happy shopping at Fred Meyers and decided to check their clearance plants. I spotted some big purple plant from across the room. Google lens, and it's a tradescantia. According to Google, and as easy to grow as the Dude I already have. I'm very happy with my find. I've already taken 6 cuttings to prop and fill out his pot, I'm going to report when the cutting are ready. He's going to be glorious this time next year

9 years later and I still love these spoons. I eat almost everything with a spoon.

Just wanted to share, every year, around may I do a massive wack back. I always have a ton of cuttings and small potted wandering Dudes to share. Then I coil long stems and add cutting back in until I have a nice full plant again. Then he takes right off for the growing season. I just think he's looking lovely.
