Is this dying?

I bought this at a flower shop today and it was sold to me as a Tradescantia Pink Panther but after googling it I don't think its a Pink Panther. Can someone help me identify this and also let me know if this is dying? If so how do I bring this back to life? Im new to plant keeping and appreciate any info I can get.

Are these the same type?

I’m new to tradescantia and I bought some cuttings. Are these the same type of tradescantia? They look similar but slightly different as well.

Pest damage?

Please help! I’m trying to understand if the damage and white spots are due to thrips, or if my plant is just dusty and suffering from the heatwave... Or maybe it’s all of the above? 🥲 I think the weird, crinkly new growths like in the last pic are a major tell-tale sign for the pests, according to my Google searches. This would be my first time dealing with thrips so any advice is helpful!

Insight on yellowing

Anyone have any insight on this? It keeps yellowing. Now idea what I’m doing wrong. This is my only tradescantia with this problem.

Time for repot?

Should I repot this wanderer? Or will she be okay staying in this size pot indefinitely?

What is happening to my tradescantia?

Hello reddit! Lately i've noticed my Zebrina tradescantia is getting sick. It's leaves are turning yellow for no reason and after this they dry. I mention that due to the extreme heat in europe, and because i don't own air conditioning my house heats up to 33 degrees indoors, maybe this can cause the problem. Also it could be the lack of light but these symptoms showed up only in the last few days.

ID crash out, please HELP!

I have scoured the Internet so many times trying to nail down this cultivar and I just can't 😭 It was a cutting I got from an event at the Library, and there were no IDs on anything. I don't know why I have such a need to know the ID of my plants, but my brain will not shut up until I know.

My plant was doing great until she didn't

My tradescantia exploded with healthy new growth this year, couple of weeks ago it started to get like this all around the plant. I always bottom water. What could cause this? Parasite or overwatering? I now pruned it all back, let's see if it bounces back. Thanks all!

Before and After

My beautiful tradescantia is going through a rough time fighting green caterpillars. Had to give her a cut and spray. May we all prey she lives.

Thrips? 😫

I posted pics of my happy zebrina and received a message saying to check for thrips 😩 she included a link and the curled leaf tips and silvering and dimpling seem to fit. I see nothing on her neighbors. I soaked her in my plant spray solution (Castile soaps, alcohol, hydrogen peroxide and water and sprayed surrounding plants just in case.

I am super strict about quarentiing any new plants that I bring into the house and haven't added anything near her. The only new plants have Ben a few hoyas from a gal I regularly purchase from with zero issure: and I quarantine anyways. I don't know how the little bastards could have gotten in!

Would you all agree that this looks like thrip damage? I am hoping she's just root bound and dry but I fear the worst!

Is this bad for my silver plus tradescantia?

My friend is a big plant girl and a few months ago she gave me a small snipping off of one of her plants she had. Fast forward to now it's doing great, has strong stems, big nodes, and healthy leaves. I've propagated off of it about four times before just now. I'm waiting to get a bigger pot to put them in (I know their roots are a lot) I'll attach the babies as well, but I am scared for my main plant. As far as how much light it gets, it hangs down from my windowsill inside that faces west and today when I was watering it I noticed that where it bends on my pot is starting to look dead. I panicked and snipped all of the sprouts off and planted them into the pot along with it. I'm scared it's going to cut off the circulation to the rest of the plant and die off. Is this normal?

Why is my tradescantia nanouk getting brown leaves ?

I don't understand, when i got her she was beautiful, not a single brown leaf and now every leaf is turning brown.

She's my favorite plant please give me advices I can't let her like this.

Also I tried propagating her but everyone of her babies didn't make it, they all became squishy or brown and dry, I don't understand either because apparently she's easy to care for and to propagate so if any of you knows what I should do I would appreciate it very much

(I should probably precise that it is actually 33 degrees celcius in my house and the temperature won't come down plus I think the air is very dry and I saw on the internet that it wasn't good)

I need help with my plant

I just reported it. It was in a very heavy soil that was not drying out at all and it was in a pot that was way too big for it so I put it in a smaller pot and now it looks like it’s dying.it used to not get that much light like a decent amount now it gets more light and I just watered it

Wish me luck!

Just stuck these cuttings in soil - the stems were much longer & rooting in water but I figured it was time to bite the bullet. I love this plant so much & im so hopeful it’ll grow & thrive! I potted several cuttings a few months ago & they did not live sadly.

Happy girl

I love this plant. She's giving me some little blooms right now. She seems to like the combo of crawling on the shelf and trailing. I have tons of full propagations because I bottom water and every time I take her down she sheds a few pieces that I just can't toss 😂. My niece is getting a nice full plant plus I have more. 🤪

My Nanouk is a crispy critter and makes me nuts! She's full and lush but crispy brown bits despite careful bottom watering. I just repotted her in a bigger pot as she was quite root bound and hope she will be happier. I bought a tiny fan and use it after watering in the event of guttation to make sure her leaves stay dry. We'll see if she's any happier in the coming months.
