Help choosing photo for stallion flyer.

These are all raw unedited photos. We will likely just work with the lighting and take the leadrope out, and fix the tail if it’s out of view. He’s a performance stallion so I don’t expect him to stand perfectly square like a halter horse but I can’t decide which photo I like the best.

Any tips for horse ripping mane out?

This is my stallion, Falcon, and he is the best at rubbing and ripping out this one area of his mane. You can see in the photos it’s nice and thick closer to his head and even through his forelock. What do I need to do to prevent this and are there any supplements that actually work for mane regrowth? I don’t expect his mane to be dragging the ground but I’d love for it to be even in thickness throughout and have no missing areas🥴Open to all suggestions! For more specific details: he is turned out in the pen pictured and only stalled when it’s hot or weather is bad. One way he loves rubbing his hair out is putting his head under his bucket to pick up anything he missed.

My newest addition❤️

I somehow got lucky enough to see my dream kitten on Facebook and was able to get her! Her mama was a stray that had 3 pretty little kittens. She was the only long haired in the bunch. I included some pictures of her mama and siblings. She’s my first long haired so all tips are welcome on taking care of that pretty coat❤️ also any idea on how fluffy she will end up being?

Seeking advice for horse who sat back on tie and is showing signs of soreness.

Hi! Before I start, I just want to ask that you please don’t tell me I shouldn’t be posting here or that I should just “call a vet.” I’m posting because I’m trying to figure out what direction I need to take next. Whether that’s a veterinarian, chiropractor, massage therapist, dentist, or something else. I’m just looking for guidance from people who may have experienced something similar. The first photo is most recent.

My mare is 4 years old and is just starting to haul and exhibition. She isn’t doing any intense competing yet.
About a month and a half ago, she had a freak accident in the trailer. She jumped up and hit her head on the ceiling, which caused her to panic and throw herself backward. Unfortunately, she was still tied because the person who was supposed to untie her ran out of the trailer instead. She kept sitting back until she stretched the lead enough to get herself over against the side of the trailer, where she continued throwing herself backward and lunging forward into the side of it.

We had just pulled in, so I ran to her as soon as I realized what was happening. As soon as I got to her, she immediately calmed down enough for us to untie her. She was showing obvious signs of pain. The halter had become incredibly tight, so we removed it and just placed it loosely around her neck. She was repeatedly yawning and pawing afterward. She also had a puncture wound on her face that tracked upward but did not go all the way through. I’ve included pictures of the injuries from the following day.
I immediately started MagnaWave treatments over the next several days. She had a significant reaction during the treatments, but afterward she seemed to improve. A few weeks later, I started riding her again, and she seemed to be doing okay until the next show.

At that show, she started rearing while making turns, which is completely out of character for her. I immediately had my chiropractor come out, and he found quite a bit that needed adjusting.

Now we’re about two weeks post-adjustment. She no longer shows soreness during MagnaWave sessions, but her behavior has changed dramatically. She used to be the first horse waiting for me at the gate, and now I can barely catch her in the pasture. At our most recent show, she backed away when I tried to put the bit in, then ran circles while I was trying to mount. Once I got on, she flexed much better than she had before the chiropractic adjustment, but she absolutely would not neck rein. She repeatedly threw her head up and also refused to back up. She was also doing lots of very exaggerated yawning like before. I decided to get off and scratch from all of my events.

The only area where I could consistently find any sensitivity was right where the curb/chin strap of the bridle rests under her jaw.

So my question is: where would you go from here?
She is only 4 years old and hasn’t even really started her performance career yet. She means absolutely everything to me, and I want to make sure I address the root cause instead of guessing.

Would you have a veterinarian evaluate her first? If so, what diagnostics or areas would you specifically ask them to examine? Could this still be something that a massage therapist or bodyworker could help with? Or maybe even a dentist? I’m just at a loss currently. My chiropractor comes monthly and will be checking her again, but I don’t want to overlook something more serious.

Figuring out kittens age?

Hi, I just rescued this kitten and I am having a hard time figuring out how old she is. She’s got the larger canines and her eye color has already shifted into a green rather than the kitten eyes. She’s extremely tiny though like more the size of a 5-6 week old kitten. The eyes, ears, and teeth are just throwing my off in comparison to her size. It’s pretty clear she was very malnourished at some point, her coat is dull and she is skinny. She was also infested with fleas🥲 Just curious of her age and if she is stunted permanently? I can’t imagine what she gone to, I fear she may be a foster fail😅

What will the first steps at the endocrinologist be?

I finally got referred to endocrinology after seeing OB and I honestly feel relieved that someone is finally taking the hormone side of this seriously because I just want my life back at this point.

For background (skip to end if you don’t need context):
The symptoms started long before I quit birth control, but I honestly can’t even remember exactly when anymore. If I had to guess, probably sometime around 4-5 years ago.
It started with headaches, appetite/eating changes, and weight loss. I lost a lot of weight and just progressively stopped feeling like myself. Was misdiagnosed with a stomach ulcer and that ended with no answers and things kept getting worse. I eventually quit birth control because it was making me feel sick particularly in the morning, but the symptoms were already there before that. Now things have almost flipped. My appetite is back and I’m gaining weight again, but I still feel emotionally and physically drained all the time. I have no motivation anymore. Not even for things as simple as watching TV or doing hobbies I used to enjoy.
I also have regular headaches/pressure, brain fog, memory issues, irritability/sensory overload, hot flashes, vertigo, fatigue, etc. i have no sexual drive, no interest in relationships, and not even friendships. I haven’t had a period in about 400 days now. I also have the nipple discharge that is spontaneous and I can’t even remember when that began for the first time. A few months ago my prolactin was 268, then last week was 175.5. I don’t take any medications that raise prolactin. Everything else was mostly normal besides vitamin D and folate deficiency.

I had an open MRI without contrast and it came back “normal,” but the radiologist specifically noted that microadenomas may not be visible without contrast.
It’s also been a massive wait to get into endocrinology, so I even got the second prolactin test done a week before my appointment because I’m desperately hoping they won’t have to keep repeating labs before I can finally get answers and treatment.

At this point I’m exhausted and honestly emotional over finally getting referred to the right specialist. I feel like I’ve spent years feeling unlike myself and being treated like I’m dramatic or “always have something wrong.” I just want to feel like myself again but I don’t even remember what life was like before the constant brain fog I just know I’ve been feeling this way for so long now and hope this is the answer I needed.

QUESTIONS:::
For those of you diagnosed with prolactinomas or hyperprolactinemia:
What were your first endocrinology appointments like?
What tests did they run?
Did they repeat imaging or start treatment first?
How long did it take before you started feeling mentally/physically better?

I know nobody can diagnose me over Reddit, but I’m hoping I’m finally heading in the right direction.
