Elantra N vs M240I as Daily Driver + Winter

Has anyone had experience with the M240I and the Elantra N and how they both drive?
Shopping between the two, the Elantra N is a cheaper buy with a warranty, while the M240I has xDrive. Live in the Midwest, so snow is really annoying. If any of y'all are in the Midwest, what are some good winter tires for the Elantra N if I go for it?

Elantra N is 40K OTD
M240I CPO is ~56k OTD

Fun Driving Daily for 50k or less

I live in the Midwest, buying a 'do it all' daily driver, under 50k, but can push the budget out to around 55k. I'm looking for a fun driver's car that can also work as a daily driver, as I don't have the means for a second car atm,

I probably need an AWD/FWD car since I live in the Midwest, where the winter is brutal.

With that, here's my list of cars that I looked into so far.

  • Elantra N (new)
  • Golf R (new)
  • M240i xDrive (CPO)
  • GR Corolla (not the biggest fan)

I'm open to other options, but my top 2 so far are the Elantra N and the M240I, leaning towards the Elantra N because it's new and has a 100k/10yr warenty.
