Warning for anyone considering a flying dress shoot in Santorini: Do NOT choose Santorini Habibi. Choose someone else.

I know flying dress shoots get mixed reactions here, but if you’ve already decided to do one in Santorini, I wanted to share my experience with Santorini
Habibi.

He has a terrible attitude. He tells you not to be late, then shows up late himself. He stacks his bookings, so if the shoot before yours runs over…tough.
He also made several inappropriate comments toward me, including comments about my name & what he expected me to look like….I had already paid my deposit, so I tried to make the best of it but we had some words.

The biggest issue for me was the lack of privacy. There was no changing room, pop-up tent, or private area. I had to change on the side of the street while he held the dress over me and physically helped/touch me while I was changing. What’s frustrating is that I looked over & saw another flying dress photographer nearby who did have a pop-up tent for their client.

He also had noticeable body odor 😭 which made the experience even more unpleasant. With that being said, he does take great shots and he knows how to get you to pose, but if you’re spending your money on a flying dress shoot, please choose another photographer. I wish I had known all of this before putting down my deposit.

Update: this post did what I intended for it to do and that was to share my experience with those interested in doing a flying dress shoot. For those that are not, we can argue until we’re blue in the face on the originality, cost and why anyone would do it… you don’t have to get the appeal….Everything is subjective. The cost ranges from $80 to $3k and not a dime came out of your pocket. With that being said I’m no longer responding but will continue blocking rude comments.

💃🏾 oh look there’s even a flying dress emoji.

Pistachio pod + maple pecan pod over cookie butter

Learned the key to a good froth is to blend it with creamer after you’ve already brewed your cup. I used to froth my creamer separately and then pour it over and that wasn’t doing a thing.

Also, these cups from Regal make good iced coffee cups. Cheers! ☕️

Crete / Santorini itinerary

I’m back (surprise, surprise) you all have helped me thus far! Here is my final itinerary! Traveling solo and won’t be renting a car. Don’t roll your eyes at the flying dress photo shoot 🤣 but rate the whole trip. What would you change? What would you keep?
I decided to fly to Santorini because the speed boat does not look fun, I get motion sickness sometimes and I don’t like that you don’t have the option to go outside on them 😭

Day 1:
Arrive in Heraklion, quick transfer to Agapi Beach Resort, relax on the beach, cocktails, and dinner at the resort.
Day 2:
Full day exploring Heraklion — visit Knossos Palace, the Archaeological Museum, local food spots, street art areas, bike ride along the harbor, and chill evening back at the resort.
Day 3:
Early morning flight from Crete to Santorini (via Athens, arriving 8:50 AM).
Spend the day in Oia for a flying dress photoshoot then explore Oia + Fira, eat lunch with caldera views, and fly back to Crete at 5 PM. Dinner at the resort.
Day 4:
Full resort chill day — beach, pool, street food lunch, snacks, spa vibes, and an Italian dinner onsite.
Day 5:
Spa in the morning, final beach time, seaside lunch, sunset drinks, then head to the airport.

Mid September solo travel plans to Crete

Okay, y’all convinced me to go to Crete lol now the question is, should I go to Santorini for a few hours or Chania? I’ll be staying in Heraklion. I only have about five days but was considering taking a ferry to Santorini or a bus to Chania. (Since it’s such a short trip, I’m not renting a car). Also, how crazy are the crowds in Santorini mid September? Will I be fighting for the perfect picture for the blue domes or fighting the crowds in Chania for that perfect dinner spot by the water?

Appreciate any other suggestions!

Thanks!
