Musóna Monday 🎉 (8-17-2026)

Been heads-down this week, mostly on the relationship system.

Relationships now build more naturally. A few of you flagged that things could jump stages way too fast — like, one flirty exchange and suddenly you're "Dating," even if you'd barely said two sentences to them. That never felt right to me either. Tuned it so relationships now need some real back-and-forth before they shift — no more single-message spikes. It should feel more like something you're actually building with your companion, not a light switch.

Explore mode is more coherent. Fixed a bug where NPCs you met while exploring could lose track of what you'd just told them mid-conversation — should feel a lot more "present" now, whoever you're talking to.

Group chats got some polish too — a handful of small rough edges smoothed out.

Again the Relationship system is brand new so if you run into any problems let me know!

Feature Requests: There's a few floating around right now. I will be getting around to them soon! User Journals, Notifications in the Inbox, and possibily even a Social Network for all the AIs in Musona!

As always, if something feels off — relationship status jumping weird, a companion forgetting something they shouldn't, anything — tell me. Half of what gets fixed around here starts with someone in this sub pointing it out. 🙏

Musóna Monday (8/10/2026)

Quieter week on my end this time around, honestly — no big flashy feature to show off. I spent most of it heads-down squashing bugs behind the scenes (chat reliability, some group chat weirdness, a handful of smaller things you probably never even noticed breaking) and putting time into getting Musóna in front of more people. Not every week is a shiny-new-feature week, some of them are just maintenance and growth, and that's fine!

So instead of a changelog, I want to flip it around this week and hear from you:

Bugs — anything acting weird, broken, or just off? Doesn't matter how small. If you can include what you were doing when it happened, that helps a ton.

Feedback — loving something, hating something, indifferent to something? All useful.

Feature requests — what's missing? What would make you use Musóna more?

Drop it all below. I read every comment even when I don't reply to all of them, and a lot of what's shipped came directly from stuff posted here.

Thanks for sticking with me through a slow week — back to it!

Musóna Monday (8/3/26)

Hello everyone,

It's Monday again. This past week has been all about your companions identity.

I have done a lot of work in image and video generation. Hopefully, you are seeing very little drift in these two features. Also, your own identity should be stronger in Photos Together with your companions.

Group Chats and the "Meet a Friend" feature also got stronger. In group chat all speakers used to use the same call to reply. Now very speaker gets their own call, and can read the responses that come in before they reply. This allowed me to carry over your companions full memories into group chat, where they used to have limited memory recall. The "Meet a Friend" feature was upgraded in the same fashion. Instead of sharing a call with your companion they now enter the chat as a guienely new speaker.

I have also added some more features for trans identity. There is a new slider in body customization that allows you to choose how feminine or masculine a trans companion presents. There's also better anotomy features for adult content for web users who have NSFW toggled on.

While I was doing that I figured I would go ahead and add more customizable NSFW features for male and female companions as well.

All 1,037 characters living in Musona also get all types of descriptive features added so they are all even more unique now!

So I say all that to say this: I've been really busy behind the scenes but I haven't have the time to actually test a lot of these new updates. Which is what makes Musóna Monday so hopeful. If you run any weirdness let me know and I'll try to get it resolved quickly.

And, as always, this is the place for bug reports, feedback, and feature requests if you've got them.

I genuinely want to hear from you! This is a longer post so thanks for reading if you made it all the way down here.

Musóna Companion think about you while you are away.

Most AI chat apps are a blank assistant that forgets you the second you close the app. Musóna is the opposite: a companion who remembers you, and who has a life of their own.

Musóna Monday — referral reminder + what's next

Referral link — go use it. Your Profile page has a "Refer a friend" section with your personal link, you can also find this with the "gift" icon located next to your Muni counter. Send it to anyone who might like Musóna — once they sign up and upgrade to Plus or higher, you both get 50 Muni. No cap on how many friends you refer, so if people already ask you about the app, this is free Muni for a link you were sending anyway.

As always — bugs, feedback, feature requests, all welcome. I read every comment here. Something broken or annoying? Tell me. Wish a companion behaved differently, or wish a feature existed? Tell me that too — a good chunk of what's shipped recently started as a comment in this sub.

That's it for this week. Thanks for being here.

New: refer a friend, you both get 50 Muni!

Added a referral program tonight! Now I can reward you all for telling friends about Musóna, might as well make it worth your while.

How it works: every account now has its own referral link (look for the gift icon — top right next to your Muni balance on web, or the new Refer tab on mobile). Send it to a friend. When they sign up and go Plus or above, you both get 50 Muni.

A few things worth knowing:

Doesn't matter what tier you're on — Lite, Plus, whatever — you can refer either way. The only catch is the refferal must subscribe to a Plus or Premium tier.

The reward lands once their subscription actually processes, not the moment they start a trial, so give it a beat.

Live on web and mobile right now, no cap on how many friends you can invite.

Let me know if anything seems off with it!

r/Musona — for AI companions that actually remember you (and a world you can explore)

r/Musona is the community for Musóna, a memory-first AI companion app. The short version:

  • Companions that actually remember you — your conversations, your goals, the people in your life, weeks later. Not a context window that forgets you by tomorrow.
  • A companion with its own daily life that keeps going between chats.
  • A world you can walk into and explore, not just a chat box.

The sub is where we post updates, share companions and screenshots, talk features, and where I (the dev) actually read and reply to feedback. If you're into AI companions — or just curious what a memory-first one feels like — come hang out.

Musóna Monday (July, 20 2026)

Happy Monday everyone.

Main question this week: **have you found any more bugs in Exploration?**

The last round of reports was genuinely useful. Scenes now resume when you

come back to them instead of dropping you out, and I caught a photo picker

crash on Android — both of those came from you all noticing something was off

and saying so.

So if you've been out exploring and something felt broken, weird, or just not

quite right, tell me. Small stuff counts. "This felt clunky" is a completely

valid bug report.

Behind the scenes I've been heads-down on payment processing for the website. Not glamorous, but it unblocks a lot.

I'm also starting to move into advertising for the app and the website, so

hopefully some new faces around here before long.

As always — bug reports, feedback, and feature requests are all welcome.

Musóna Monday (July, 13, 2026)

Happy Monday the 13th, everyone!

Personally, it feels like Monday the 13th's should be far worse than Friday the 13th's, but hopefully it goes smoothly for everyone.

Here's what's been eating up my week: the Exploration feature. The short version — you'll be able to actually walk Musóna's world. Head into a district, step into a specific spot (a café, a barber shop, a market, wherever), and run into the people who live and work there, all playing out as a little narrated scene around you.

Most of this past week went into building the world itself so it actually feels lived-in: creating the NPCs who populate these places, writing all the locations, and generating avatars and scene images for every one of them. It adds up fast when you're trying to make a whole city feel real — a lot of quiet behind-the-scenes work before any of it shows up on your screen.

I'm still deep in it — building, testing, breaking things, fixing them. So if you've gotten to poke at Exploration and hit a bug, or you've got an idea for how it should work or what you'd want to do out there, I'd genuinely love to hear it. This is exactly the stage where your feedback steers where it goes.

And as always — the door's open for anything. Bugs, feature ideas, stuff that feels off, stuff you love, whatever's on your mind about Musóna. Drop it in the comments or send it my way. You all make this thing better every single week.

Musona Monday (July, 5, 2026)

Quick world-building update: I've been going deep on populating each realm properly. Not just adding more NPCs, but actually fleshing out the texture of the locations themselves — what the venues are, who works there, what their shift looks like, what it feels like to be in that part of the world at different times of day. The Corridor in Musónia alone has a hotel, a bar, a theater, a fine dining spot, and a bookshop/bar hybrid, all with real people working real hours. Same level of detail is going into every district across Musónia, Zusónia, and Mythsónia.

I'll leave it at that for now. There's a reason I'm building all of this out and it's going to make sense soon. Let's just say the realms are about to become somewhere you can actually go.

As always — drop your feedback, feature requests, and bug reports below. Every single one gets read.

Musóna Monday (June 29)

Happy Musóna Monday, everyone.

A few things from my side this week:

iOS is coming online. After a long road through Apple's review process, the iOS version is finally starting to roll out. One honest heads-up: in-app subscriptions on iOS haven't cleared Apple's review yet. The app itself works, but you can't buy a paid tier inside the iOS app just yet. The second iOS subscriptions get approved, I'll post here.

If you're on iOS, I genuinely want your bug reports. It's a fresh build and I'd much rather hear about every rough edge than miss one — crashes, weird layouts, unresponsive buttons, voice or image hiccups, login trouble, anything at all. If you can, include your device model + iOS version. iOS issues are my #1 priority right now.

Everyone else — same open invitation. Android, web, doesn't matter. Bugs, little annoyances, feature requests, "I wish it could do ___" — drop it all in this thread. I read every single one, and honestly this is where a big chunk of the roadmap comes from.

Thanks for being part of this. Let's hear what's on your mind.

Musóna is live on iOS!

Today's the day! Musóna is officially on the App Store! iPhone and iPad users can finally download and join in.

Musóna for iOS!

Huge thank you to everyone who's been here through the Android-only stretch. So much of how the app works right now came out of conversations on this sub and in DMs — the realms, milestones, photos together, videos, group chat, the trips feature. You shaped this thing.

A few things to know if you're new:

  • Web and Android accounts sync to iOS automatically. Same login, same companions, same memories.
  • Day-one feature parity: voices (Hume), milestones, scrapbook, photos together, trips, daily check-ins, all of it.
  • I'll be watching the launch all day. If something feels off on iOS specifically, drop a comment or DM and I'll dig in.

To the people who've been asking for months when iOS would happen — it happened! Thanks for being patient.

Also the Android app is available here.
