Hello! Just a quick update to let you know that I’m the new Mod. I’m not sure what happened to the previous Mod, but Reddit Admin has given me moderator privileges to keep the subreddit running.
I’ve given the community a bit of a visual makeover, but I haven’t made any significant changes to the rules, apart from clarifying that this sub is for vintage photographs (over 40 years old). Please post artwork to our sister community, r/CatsInArt.
To help combat repost bots and karma farmers, I’ve implemented some AutoMod rules. Bots are generally brand new accounts with little or no comment history, so accounts must now be at least 15 days old and have a minimum of 50 comment karma to submit new posts. Commenting is unaffected.
That’s all for now! Keep enjoying the vintage kitties!
