15 years later, there is still no clear explanation of what happened in Monte Grande, Argentina

I thought this could be interesting as it's only known locally, so I came to share the mystery of an "explosion" in Argentina that caused the death of a 43 year old woman called Silvia Espinoza Infante and had over eight people injured.  To this day the reason does not have an exact answer.  Theories range from a gas cylinder, a meteorite, a missile, antimatter, a satellite, and a lot of people even say UFOs.  I did my best to recollect the main points that testimonials would mention so that the post is not long.

Here is an article from an Argentine newspaper ruling out a gas cylinder, so the nonsense about a gas cylinder is baseless... https://www.perfil.com/noticias/sociedad/aparece-foto-de-bola-de-fuego-en-el-cielo-y-descartan-explosion-de-garrafa-20110926-0016.phtml

On Monday, September 26, 2011, at 2 AM, in Monte Grande, Esteban Echevarría, two houses and a store were destroyed by a strong explosion that ended up killing a woman.  The official explanation given by the authorities was that it was due to a gas cylinder connected to a pizza oven that exploded, however, after the explosion, it can be seen that the gas cylinders were intact and the neighbors do not believe this was the cause.

Here's some interesting info about the case I gathered:

-(Updated) It left a small crater with about 1m of length and almost no depth.  https://www.visionovni.com.ar/wp-content/uploads/images/img4e86688828ba0.jpg (I had linked below a PDF explaining it could be a micro-Tunguska event like the one in Siberia, June 30, 1908 but that hypothesis also assumes there was no crater.

If anyone feels like reading it, here is a detailed analysis... https://www.reddit.com/r/UnresolvedMysteries/comments/1av9g2n/september_26_2011_explosion_in_monte_grande/

Outnumbered by toxic agents, advice on how to play?

I’m an ENL player, mostly solo play and surrounded by four or five pretty active RES agents. Every couple of months they roll through my area and “dog pile” my portals. Especially any lvl 6 or 7 portals (we don’t have enough to make a lvl 8). They have crazy amounts of high level bursters and ADA. After the lvl 8/mod event I had a few portals with 4 Aegis shields that were taken down with ease.

I get that it is part of the game, but is there anything I can realistically do as a solo player against a group of players determined to knock me down? How can I build better defensive positions?

Book One & Jason’s Lemonade

This lemonade is SO GOOD! I’ve read the series through twice via audiobook, now gearing up for the next book release by reading the hardcover.

ELI5, do the sensations of smell and taste have measurable vibrations to them? How do we determine the differences in smell & taste?

I understand sight/sound/touch have changes in vibrational energies which influence our physical senses. I’m seeking a scientific understanding of how we experience smell & taste. If not vibrations or waves, then what is going on?
