Using a G3 sight drum on an MP5K

Any experience using a G3 sight on an MP5K? I found some people saying they run it with no problems, and others say the point of impact is off. I like the notched sight picture, but I want to make sure I can get the elevation adjustment right before buying one.

What do you do for your bees during a heatwave?

2nd year beekeeper here. It's going to be 90-95F for most of this week, and humidity is currently at 85%. Are there any precautions you guys take in this kind of weather?

When does a ewe go back into heat after losing lambs?

I had some stillborn lambs in March, and since then I have taken a pretty laissez faire approach, keeping the ram in with the ewes. The ewes are katahdins, so I know they are more likely to breed outside of the fall/winter, but I have no idea when/if they may have been bred.

I'm keeping my eye out for pregnancy signs, but these girls don't show much of anything until the last month. In your experience, how long after a stillbirth do they breed again?

No brood, lots of honey

I'm very new to beekeeping. My first and only hive survived winter and has been going very strong, but due to life circumstances I was unable to inspect the hive for a few weeks. This weekend there was lots of honey, but zero brood, larvae, or eggs. I could not spot the queen, but being the novice that I am I always have a hard time with that.

I suspect they swarmed. Population still seems strong. I did not see any emergency queen cells. Should I be looking at introducing a new queen right away, or wait a week or so in case they do have a new queen that is waiting to mature?
