Vanguard is mulling Full Transfer Lock….

Vanguard now offers outgoing ACATS transfer lock on its website. I know Fidelity has Account Lock/Money Transfer Lock.

The teaser on Vanguard’s website is ‘Full Transfer Lock.’

I have seen a screenshot mentioning the above Full Transfer Lock. If this is true, will Fidelity follow suite and offer an equivalent Full Transfer Lock for the brokerage and CMA accounts?

Automated transfer to a bank account

Is there an automated way to transfer monthly all-but-one dollar from a Fidelity brokerage account to a bank account that’s is currently set up for EFT.

I’m not sure how many dollars will be in the account, so I cannot schedule a fixed amount transfer.

All I know is I want to initiate the transfer on the 1st of every month and would like to keep the balance at one dollar post transfer. This way the Fidelity Account is not closed due to zero balance.

I could do it manually but that would require me to turn off the Account Lock (money transfer lock), initiate transfer, turn on the Account Lock, and repeat this every month.

Track the dividends/interest at the Product level in a brokerage account

On the Positions tab of a brokerage account, I see the investments are grouped at the Product level (Stocks, Mutual Funds, Fixed Income, Warrants etc.) and you are able to collapse/expand each of the Product grouping. This is quite handy when you want to track the balance of each group.

When it comes to the dividends and interest amount of the holdings , the $$$s are all commingled and it is held as one pool of money. Is there a way to track the dividends and interest amount of each Product type separately so I can invest them differently.

My brokerage accounts are by product type, and I’d like to reduce the account proliferation if Fidelity can provide me the equivalent of sub account within a Brokerage account. One sub account for stocks and its dividends, one sub account for mutual funds and its dividend , one sub account for Fixed income and its interest/dividends etc.
