Chicago vs. Pittsburgh

My wife and I (and our two dogs) have taken our last two fall vacations in Chicago, along with a quick trip earlier this month to see a couple of Cubs games. I absolutely love Chicago, but I'm worried about getting burnt out. She is very easygoing and finds happiness basically anywhere we go. We enjoy local food (for which Chicago is great), and my favorite activity is photography. Also, I'm already hoping for another trip to see the Cubs next spring as I enjoy the cool weather. That's another factor that makes me consider a different destination in October.

Chicago definitely has many photography subjects, but what about Pittsburgh? It is approximately the same driving distance for us, and it looks like a nice photographic destination - especially in the fall. I'm interested in the many bridges, two incline railways, and the nearby Frank Lloyd Wright designed Fallingwater house.

If you have been to both, what is your opinion?

Loud Coworker

I work with a guy who is extremely loud in our office — loud enough that people across the room can hear everything he says all day. He works in the shop but comes to the office anytime he can for reasons that are beyond me. He also constantly makes obnoxious jokes, criticizes everyone despite already being the self-appointed expert, and regularly threatens to quit like it’s supposed to matter to everyone.

I’m not trying to start drama, but the volume alone is becoming distracting. Would it be rude or out of line for me to privately ask him to keep it down a bit in the office?

My First Cubs Game

I toured Wrigley Field two years ago, but I had never been to a game until last Sunday. It was a good day.
