I did not get a reply when I posted on the other community, hope someone responds here! I am a Class 12 CBSE student right now and I want to prepare for winter intake of 2027 for Germany. I don’t understand when and how should I apply for Studienkoleg. I have watched multiple videos where people are saying that they should apply for aps in jan-feb but our board results come out in may, then how does the timeline work out for us? If anyone can walk me through the process, I would really appreciate them!! Would love to get some guidance!

I’m currently a Class 12 CBSE science student from India. I scored 94.6% in my ICSE Class 10 board exams, and I’m confident I can maintain 90%+ in Class 12 as well.

I want to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science in Germany through the Studienkolleg pathway. I’m very interested in AI and Computer Science, and Germany seems like an amazing option because of its high-quality education and affordable public universities.

However, the whole process feels a bit overwhelming, especially regarding German language learning, university selection, and admissions.

I would really appreciate guidance on things like:

• What level of German should I realistically aim for before Studienkolleg or university? Is B1 enough or should I target B2?
• Is it realistically possible to reach B1/B2 German within one year while managing Class 12 studies?
• What are the best affordable or free resources/platforms to learn German seriously from India?
• Which top public universities in Germany are affordable/free and good for Computer Science?
• Which universities are comparatively easier for international students to get into while still having a strong reputation?
• How competitive is CS admission in Germany overall?
• What timeline should I follow during Class 12 for applications, APS, language exams, etc.?
• Any mistakes you wish you had avoided during your own application process?
