I found some old FS9 Screenshots, and wow, how far we have come!

I found an old hard drive in the loft the other day, and on it were some incredibly old school screenshots from 2006. These are from an approach I did into Tenerife South (GCTS) with a KLM A330, on my potato of a computer.

Compare them to the screenshots of my easyJet A319 into Edinburgh (EGPH) yesterday on MSFS2024 and the leap in realism is incredible.

What will it be like in 20 years time?

What to do with an EV that's uneconomical to repair?

It's a long story, but dodgy workmanship has broken the A/C compressor in my high mileage MG5.

The car drives absolutely fine, obviously the cabin has been roasting in this heat, but it's liveable with the windows open. A bigger issue is that it can no longer be safely fast charged as the A/C cools the battery during.

The repair bill is 75% of the cars current value.

I know the cheapest vehicle is the one you already own and look after etc, and I may get it fixed.

But are there any other options for an EV that's uneconomical to repair? The scrapyard only wanted to give £150!

Any way of getting the battery out and attaching it to the side of the house? Or anything else ingenious?

Jumpseating is the best, change my mind.

I miss my old days of cockpit rides. All of the fun and views, none of the responsibility.

Now I'm firmly on terra firma, attached to the other side of the frequency. It's a good airshow, but I miss being in the cockpit.

New Zealand is a beautiful country

I've had a lot of fun taking the Fenix for a domestic tour of NZ. Queenstown and Invercargill were definitely highlights.

Such a beautiful landscape to fly over.
