Making good progress on my TRX4 build.

Just wanted to show my project that i’ve been working on. Body cut and ready to be mounted.
Installed my Hobbywing Fusion Pro 2300 yesterday. She’s going to be a ripper!
3D printing a different front bumper now to allow the nose to drop down a hair more.

What have you guys done to your pathfinders?

What approach have you guys took with your pathfinders?
No videos online anywhere besides un-boxings.

I’m trying to decide what modifications i’m going to do to the body or if i just get a completely different body and change my approach to what i had planned all together.

I was curious if you guys have cut the body, removed bumpers, etc. to make it more capable, but keeping it looking good?
Or have you guys just rocked it as is?

TRX4 - LCG Battery Tray

Just wanted to show everyone the LCG battery tray i printed and put on my TRX4 Sport today.

Printed in PETG. It definitely dropped the battery way lower!
No extra bolts needed. Reuse all factory bolts from the factory tray.

If there were enough interest in them i could sell some, let me know! I have 6 3D printers and would be happy to help get them on your guy’s trucks too!

Questions & Ideas? - TRX4 Build

Hello Everyone!

I have a TRX4 Sport that i’m in the beginning stages of modifying to a more “comp” style truck.
First and foremost… i do not compete and i just hobby drive this truck with my dad in the evenings on our property mostly in a creek that has a lot of bigger rock features.
I am not looking to make this an all out comp build.
I am not looking to mess with servos or motors right now.

I’m looking for ideas and suggestions on what others have done to their TRX4’s as far as removing the fender wells, relocating the shocks/shock mounts, what comp style bodies people suggest, etc.

This afternoon i 3d printed some PETG shock mounts just to test out and see if i am happy with the set up before ordering some better aluminum ones.
I also printed a Toyota comp style body with a pinch bed and it isn’t wide enough with the stock sliders (floor pans?)on the truck.
How have you guys remounted the stuff mounted on the factory sliders to fit a skinnier body or is there a body like the power wagon that would fit with the stock sliders?

I have built two kit Losi 8ight-T truggy’s, but this is my first crawler that i’m starting to tinker and modify.

Suggestions and opinions welcome, if you have negative things to say, please just keep them to yourself.

Looking for suggestions, ideas, etc. to get a better idea of how i want to move forward with this truck or if i ditch the idea all together and put it back stock.
Thank you all!

3rd and 4th photos : the 3d printed shock mounts i printed and installed.

Trx4 Comp Build?

Wanting to turn my TRX4 sport into a Comp Style build.
I do mostly creek crawling with my dad with this car. The body hits all the time in the technical stuff that the creek we have has to offer. I’m wanting to do a build that doesn’t entirely break the bank, but also not afraid to spend the money where necessary.

Does anyone have their own TRX4 comp build or have links to other people’s builds with parts list?

I’ve looked on youtube, googled, etc. and only found a select few.

Just looking for ideas and curious to see other people’s creations.

i have a bambu labs 3d printer and can print files in PETG as well.

*3rd - 4th pictures for attention - Similar to how i’m wanting to build mine*

On marketplace… How much is it worth? - Traxxas TRX4 K10 High Trail

Have tried to negotiate with this guy on a price for this TRX4 and i feel he is asking too much. How much does everyone legitimately think this truck is worth being in pieces and needing put back together?
