I just want to go for a walk....

The limitations of Dysautonomia are hitting hard this morning. I'm shattered after my 3 days of work. I switched to a 3 day a week role hoping it would help (it also has other things going for it including generally working in a more stable temp environment). I'm 5-6 weeks in and realising that I'm still really struggling. And it sucks cause it's thursday-saturday, so if/when it wipes me out then it knocks out my Sunday with my husband.

He's trying to get what I'm going through, but he's struggling with the transition that me and our ageing/degenerative conditions laden dog are placing on our life. He's likely on the autistic spectrum so change is hard, especially when it's forced.

He tries not to blame me, but sometimes it still feels that way.

This morning I had to be honest about not being able to consider a morning dog walk in what looks to be lovely fresh conditions outside before I've eaten, and not being able to guarantee that my nervous system won't be saying no even after food. He accepted and is doing the morning dog walk alone right now. He then followed up with how he'd like it if I could sometimes be a bit less resistant to getting up and getting going in the morning.

It's so hard to get him to understand that these aren't choices I'm making. They are choices my body is making for me. And that if I push through there's a chance I'm just increasing the interest on the energy debt and it'll take longer to payback.

He says he gets it, and then he remembers that only a few weekends ago we did manage a couple of good walks on the Sundays. And then he says he's just ranting, which I get. It's hard though cause he doesn't have other people to rant at, so he rants at me, but that just makes things worse.

So sorry, you guys are now getting my rant because he's out walking the dog and I've been sat here crying cause I just wish that I could go for a goddamn walk with the dog and life's not fair and that sucks.

Frequent urge to urinate, but no success... Not a UTI

Does anyone else find that when your fluids feel off, you constantly get the urge to try to go for a wee, but then when you get there there's nothing ready/it's difficult to go?

This isn't a UTI, it seems to be a recurring symptom I get when I have other dysautonomic warning signals (starting to feel anxious/sweaty, overheating, big yawns, the urge to pump hands and get feet up etc.). Assertive hydration with increased electrolytes and rest seem to help me shift out of this mode.it's frustrating because at work then toilets are almost a 5 minute walk from my dept, so needing to go sometimes every 40mins adds extra walking effort that I could really do with avoiding... I get that it is what it is, but what it is is annoying.

Just wondering if this is something other people recognise?

Context: I'm early days, but my GP has diagnosed orthostatic and heat intolerance and we're at the start of investigating POTS. I'm also still recovering from a burnout in dec-feb ish)

My first (arguably second) terrarium

I've made a terrarium to gift to my sister in two months for her birthday. She loves Frogs, collects pins, and has ADHD. The little rusty 'sign' is a found, broken and weathered, Pin Badge that says (said?) 'Hello, I'm easily distracted'. The universe could not have gifted me a more appropriate addition to this!

I made it a couple weeks back, but my husband managed to knock it off the table and smash it, so this is arguably the second I've built. All mosses and twigs/bark collected locally to me. Most have survived at least 2 weeks in little dishes acting as 'temperariums'. Apologies for the not insignificant proportion of 'non-moss' plants. Please forgive me 😊

Now for the long patient wait to see if it will establish.

(Springtails on the way to help with the inevitable mold issues.)

Recent Devon moss snaps :)

I particularly love the filigree long fine frond like one in the close up. I'm new to moss, what to I call the ....fronds? And any idea on what type this is? Are there any good moss identification keys around I could use?

Mossy morning dog walk. (Dog tax paid in full size photo, albeit as a background character)

Living in a temperate rainforest brings me so much contentment :)

Slowly unearthing the Moss photos that have lived on my phone apparently waiting for me to find this sub...

Moss and mushrooms from last June, somewhere near me in Devon, UK

Just found this sub, here's my fist offering.

From the valley near my friend's sheep farm in Mid-Wales. It was the other side of a fence, so I just gazed in delight. In my mind it would have been super springy to touch
