I've recently decided to start playing Eve again and now have a friend to play it with. Both of us are alpha players, he is brand new to the game and I already have ~1.7B in net worth (of which 380M in cash) which I accumulated more than a year ago. When I first joined, I ended up joining a small group of people that helped me get started with eve and were based in nullsec. This allowed me to get a lot of money through wormhole gas huffing and exploration, but not learn too much about surviving since most of the time I was alone (I think). The main downside of living there was being far from Jita, resulting in me getting ganked when hauling my items.

Now my issue is that I am not sure on how I should proceed to help him get started as well as rediscover the game with him. I want to keep my current character since I have almost maxed out the 5M skill point cap, and have great starting capital for doing basically any of the beginner activities.

My idea was maybe to move some of my stuff to another system and setup a new life there (since the group I initially joined isn't as active). Then either leave behind the remaining ships in my nullsec home or try to haul them to jita to sell. However I am scared of losing my ships whenever I'm moving them around. I've also wanted to try faction warfare but where I stayed requires me to travel through enemy territory to go to and from Jita so I never enlisted.

What activities should I try and show to my friend, what system (ideally caldari) could I maybe setup with him and are there any smaller groups we can join? The previous group did help me a lot to get started, but I want to have a bit more guidance and learn more about the game with others in a completely different environment from nullsec and wormhole space. Ideally while sometimes being able to do things with just my friend and return to wormhole exploring whenever we felt like doing riskier activities.
