8 mo old collie

My puppy went to get neutered yesterday. Apparently he had a hernia from when he was born that I was never told about. Is this common? This is the first collie I owned but I feel badly because they had to cut all the way up his belly and the vet said it was the hardest neuter he has ever done because he had to adjust once he found the hernia.

Should I tell the breeder? Or is this just a fluke that sometimes happens? Will this change his little personality?

Rough collie (6mo)

I got a rough collie at 4 months. I am a first time dog owner and I was told he had been dewormed by the breeder at 12 weeks. I took him to the vet after getting him and they said he had a clean bill of health. Something told me in May to go to a different vet. I went to the new vet and they put him on a flea/tick med and a heart worm medicine every month. I was fine with this. I gave him his deworm medicine the day after he went to vet. Today (2 weeks after) I found worms in his stool. I am not sure where he would have gotten these from. I am wondering if it’s something I did and what I can do differently.

In patient treatment vs out patient

I was in a school shooting 9 months ago. I’ve gotten therapy and have been working through A LOT on my own. My dad came into town months after the fact and is now trying to force me into in patient treatment center. I don’t want to do in patient treatment because I want to sleep in my bed and see my dog at the end of the day. What do I do? My sister is saying “you wanted support. He’s giving to you” I feel like it’s not support if I’m saying I don’t want that
