Does anybody prefer AP1 transmission?

Hi guys, I have a AP1 that I'd like to boost in the future. I think the longer gears would actually be nice for a turbo'd car and be less busy with the shifter. My only thing is I can't seem to find any reinforced/carbon synchros for the AP1 trans to make it as reliable as the AP2. I would be happy with 450hp boost by gear. I know people put other transmissions when making more power.

Does everyone in this power range run the AP2 transmission?

TCT install help

Hi guys, I don't want to proceed without 100% confirmation bc messing with timing can be catastrophic. I been trying to push the piston in to put a cotter pin and hold the piston for install. This is as far as I can get. If I insert it like this, I can get the housing to sit flush with the head and bolt it in.

My question is: Can I bolt it up like this, take out the bolt, then put in the black oil bolt and cover after?
