Pace Partners - What's the Point?

They just sit on my front wheel and block out part of the screen.

If I slow down, they slow down.

If I speed up, they speed up.

They don't drop me.

I cannot get past them.

I thought the idea was they are there to keep you "at a pace"??

Imagine a pacemaker in a 10k running race who stops with you - that doesn't work.

I am struggling to understand the point, other than you want perfect drafting, but what's the point in that? This is virtual, I could just choose a shorter/less incline ride.

WHAT WOULD BE HELPFUL

is a partner that based on all the data Rouvy has on me the partner gives me a realistice target to beat on flats and hills. E.g. it knows I'm very quick on hills, yet slow on long ascents, so the "pace partner" adapts appropriately, but always sets me a realistic target.

Does that already exist, or can Pace Partners be improved to give riders that?

Thanks

Ball Rolls Up Screen, Along Canopy then Back At Player

Hi

I have a steel tube frame design Golf Sim. I used Build By Maz as my inspiration.

The problem I have is topped shots, these tend to run up the screen, along the canopy, then drop at the player.

I probably need to attach a baffle onto the canopy, but that's easier said than done.

Any ideas thoughts / images appreciated.

Thanks

GS Pro - Designed Courses

I want to play North London courses in GS Pro. None of the courses are on there (Muswell Hill, Hadley Wood, Bush Hill Park, North Middlesex) but, given it's London, and these courses are very well known and very popular, my guess is that someone must have made them already.

So, are there GS Pro courses that exist, built by course designers, that are not on GS Pro, but exist on designers Patreons/website and you can pay for access to them? If so, how do I find these?

Thank you

GS Pro - Auto Putt Not Working

Grateful for some help pleae.

I don't like putting on the SIM. I've recently set up GS Pro and I cannot seem to find a setting that Auto Putts when I get to within day 35feet.

ROUND SETTING: changed Gimme/Auto Putt to "Fixed"

GAME SETTING: Two Putt was changed to 35ft

Yes, no matter what I do, if I put it within 20ft it won't auto putt, until I get it in the 8ft circle.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks.

Divot - is GolfSimulator ruining my swing?

When I fat a shot off a mat on my simulator, OUCH. When I take a normal divot off the mat, it's not as clean a shot (as it is scuffed from hitting the mat).

So effectively I'm conditioned to just brush the mat, as the best shot, and not take a divot.

The mindset of not hitting the mat/ground I think is causing me to Thin it when on a real course, particularly when dealing with different lies.

I'm hitting off a GoSports Elite.

I've seen a lot of talk of hitting strips, SigPro, BeaverTail, Fibrebuilt, and DIY Action Mat...

Do any of them allow you to take a REAL divot?

I've read about them being grabby, providing some levels of bounce, but for those who spend as much time outside as inside, do these hitting strips ENCOURAGE you to hit the ball with a divot?

Thanks

Impact Location - how?

With a Square LM (not Omnia) how is everyone measuring Impact Location?

- footspray or dry shampoo, I'd be concerned would leave that product on the screen

- impact tape transfer ink to the ball, arguably even worse than the footspray.

Or are you just doing without this information?

Thanks

I'm a beginner. My wife wants to buy me a golf watch as a birthday present. I think I'm a bit too early in my journey for too many stats, I've only played a few rounds!!

I currently use a phone app for distances, not having to get a phone out when on the course would be nice.

I'd like it to show hazards, dog legs etc.

I don't want it to be overly confusing.

I would like a club suggestion, I won't take it as gospel but helpful to know.

I don't want too much faff basically.

Budget is around £250.

Thanks.
