Has anyone replaced the bridge on a MIJ J Mascis Jazzmaster Purple Sparkle?

I have a J Mascis Jazzmaster in Purple Sparkle (MIJ) and I’m looking into upgrading the bridge.

The main issue is that the bridge mounting holes seem to be spaced differently from those on other Jazzmasters, so I’m wondering what options are available without running into compatibility issues.

Has anyone here installed an aftermarket bridge on this specific model? I’m particularly interested in the Mastery bridge, but I’m aware that the different hole spacing might make it a bit more complicated.

I’m not afraid of doing some modifications if necessary to get a Mastery bridge to fit properly.

I’d just like to hear from anyone who’s done this before, what was involved, and whether it was worth it.

Any advice, experiences, or alternative bridge recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Looking to downsize and want some feedback.

I'm currently playing in a band and it's such a hassle bringing my main pedalboard with me every time, my biggest gripe is the weight but it also made me realize that I mostly use 3 types of effects (overdrive, delay and reverb).

So I started putting pedals together on Pedal Playground and making different combinations and I settled on this board:

  • Polytune 3 Mini Noir
  • Fairfield Accountant
  • Fairfield Barbershop
  • Hudson Broadcast
  • EAE Sending V2
  • Strymon Flint V2

I'm just mainly looking for some feedback on what you guys think of this setup and what your experience is with these pedals.

I might swap the Sending for a Rubberneck though cause it's very expensive and maybe the Flint for a DBA Reverberation Machine.

Not sure if it matters much but I'm playing through a Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue with a Fender Telecaster.

SOTB Upgraded to a bigger board

Finally upgraded to a bigger board to be able to fit the QMX6 switcher.
I’m planning on adding a Pico Pog next to the tuner pedal and a BAT Pharaoh fuzz clone next to the Compressor very soon.

That leaves me with 2 empty spots on the board.
Do you guys have any recommendations?
I’m looking to get something “weird”, I was looking at CBA Mood, EAE Mirror House, EAE Prismatic Wall.
I’ve thought about a Harmonic Tremolo but it’s not an effect I currently need.

How do you guys with large pedalboards manage without a switcher?

My pedalboard currently consists of 8 pedals and I want to add another 3 in the future making it 11 total.

Now I don't necessarily consider this a large pedalboard but I do find myself tap dancing from time to time.

I've invested a lot of time in researching switchers, I've looked at GigRig (expensive stuff), Morningstar (I don't have any pedals that take MIDI), Boss, RJM Music, Fender etc... the option paralysis is real.

At the moment I'm leaning towards a GigRig Quartermaster but I do like that you can create presets with other switchers out there.

Now my question is, how do you guys interact with your large pedalboard?

Do you just have a lot of pedals that stay on all the time?

I find myself questioning my own choices in pedals and I'm considering starting from scratch and only build a 5-6 pedals pedalboard.

Do you think the GigRig QMX-6 will fit on my board? (See 2nd pic)

So the first picture is how my board currently looks like but I want to add a switcher and 2 more pedals (fuzz and pog)
Do you think I could fit a QMX-6 at the bottom if I moved everything a bit more to the top?
I fiddles around in Pedal Playground and it looks like it could fit but it also looks very cramped.
Curious what you guys think.
