Who was the smartest ghostface? Here's the top 5 after I rewatched the franchise (I Also explain why below in the description) - thanks for reading if you did!

  1. Roman Bridger - Definitely the smartest ghostface (also strongest but that'll be for another time)

He was able to manipulate the ORIGINALS. He told billy to get a partner in stu, and then frame cotton. Roman provided Billy with several major intelligence tactics. And Billy saw the genius in Roman's plan. The fact nobody knew Roman was involved until 3 movies (that's never happened since). (IN universe he's technically the only one to be involved In killings and then not get caught until multiple movies and only because that's when he wanted to reveal himself. Then he goes on to do an entire killing spree all by himself. No partner to bounce ideas off of. Planned himself. Then executed those plans himself as well. Didn't use a muscle because he didn't need one unlike others. He was the brains of not just his operation but the brains behind how ghostface plans. Also inventing or obtaining a voice changer at a time where it seemed impossible!!!

He also somehow was able to find Sidney even though cotton never gave her up. He managed to find her. He also has the best combat but that's also another story for another day.

  1. Jill Roberts - While she didn't do anything as ghostface because she's probably sloppy and not tough (see GALE ATTACK) I have to give her props. While im not a proponent of the whole "she's the only one who almost survived" because I've debunked that in the part. I will say even if that was true it wouldn't make her the smartest. Her plan was great on paper. BUT Luck and etc all play a role in Jill's near victory. So why is she still high up? It's simple. She took advantage of a guy who was lovesick in Charlie which is very smart to do. She also has the best plan on paper. Make the kid do the work and risk it all in the process while she infiltrates everyone's life. That's smart. The fact she gave Dewey and gale the matching wounds line 😭 was a huge miss on her part. Its the only time the killer accidently gave themselves away rather purpose (unless you count karl failing)

  2. Nancy Loomis - I would have had her at 2nd but I think she got way too rough in the end and didn't stick to the plan. It was very smart how she could trace everything back to mickey. But it's also hard to keep track on what else she had hands in because she has the least screentime of like any ghostface besides Jason and Karl and Marco prob. One major thing dumb she did was (less worse than Jill snitching tho) was when Nancy killed randy out of anger in broad daylight. That could have ended very poorly for her. With all the people around too. You can tell that was never the plan at least not at that time. Nancy killed him because he badmouthed Billy. So for that reason and others I'll put her here

  3. Billy Loomis - Well the original ghostface set the template in killing style and using people to your advantage. The first killer to fake his death (I wonder if he came up with that or was it one of pointers Roman given him. We'll never know that part) but man the way Billy used stu and sidney and everyone around him. Also knowing little things like safety being on and off on gun to gale. It's the little things that also make his iq pretty neat. He also made many mistakes like stabbing stu too many times. And how was he going to explain the fake blood on his shirt mixed with real to the cops. And the crime scene would have incarcerated him

  4. Richie Kirsch - this might unpopular but remember this isn't based off that. Its honesty and analyze. Richie is the 5th smartest. The way he played Sam and everyone including his partner (whom he probably really loved too) I mean his spree lead to the death of legendary Dewey (amber did it but it's Richie masterminding amber where to go). And while he's sloppy in the end, he still manages to hunt and take Sam down. After making amber to most the work

Thanks for reading my reasons

We're missing kate, but i really enjoy the dynamic of this whole family. Some of them never got to meet each other. The Roberts scream family bloodline will always be the most superior family, for the scream franchise

I prefer them over the carpenters, loomises, machers, meeks, rileys, kirsches, and all the other familys.

house roberts all the way - - - -

Since i see people talking about ghostfaces here, i thought i'd ask a question: Who is your LEAST favorite ghostface and why? Which ghostface do you hate the most? I'm going with Jill Roberts: Please keep it respectful in the comments with each other BE GOOD PEOPLE

I just personally thought her reveal was shocking but just felt like a silly unrealistic character. Also as a forensics analysis enthusiast, shes also the dumbest ghostface in terms of the whole crime scene. Maybe i'll post my forensics analysis here one day. i did it in another subreddit and it was a very successful post. Its very long to read tho: If anyones interested lmk

Anyways, i do also think her motive is just silly and done piss poor in terms of her personality the whole movie shes just expressionless and looked like she didn't want to be there

Thats just me, we all have reasons to why we dislike stuff......what say yoooouu

My favorite ghostface, Roman bridger from Scream 3. Whats your favorite dialogue by him? this guy was the best fighter ghostface, i loved seeing him throw hands, and then somehow play dead anytime is terrifying, what do you love about him like quotes or moments

One of the reasons i love Roman bridger as my favorite ghostface is because how great he looked in that robe, like seriously dude was born for this. He really stands out so much. Theres just so much to love for a character that honestly deserved more screentime

He always suited being the mastermind, like i couldnt picture it any other wish.

The flaws are lack of screentime and not enough evidence pointing to something this monumental initially, and scott foley has said had he known he was going to be the killer right away, he'd have played the character much different leading up to the reveal.

No just some campy pimp rich director dude.

He looks like sidneys brother too so that helps. Fave ghostface, hbu

Im positive he loves scream 7 since hes in it in a way, but this man hating on scream 6 i do not understand the hate for 6 its growing on me

Considering most of hollywood higher ups hate on matthew lillard as is (which hes thrown tantrums about) e.g tarantino, do you think matt has been being too negative on the franchise he basically had a hand in becoming loved?

My gut feeling is Roman was keeping tabs on his sister Sidney throughout the original scream film. He might have even sent few people there like Christina carpenter there. These are late night thoughts. In the films universe, its plausible he was after her, without knowing killings took place

Since we already know roman caused the chain of events, by coercing billy and stu to become killers, but he also said he did not know that they would go on to become serial killers and do more. They enjoyed the first kill so much they decided why stop? But could Roman have also been aware of Sidney here. Maybe not because he just wanted his mom dead so he taught billy and stu how to kill. which they would continue on after too. Just because roman said he didnt know other killings took place by them, doesn't mean he was not stalking everyone

and i know none of the sequels were meant to even exist, they created stuff up for the sake of the franchise, so im looking at this from the perspective of the scream universe actually existing, what are some of your theories on scream 1?

My ghostface rankings (i got Roman at number 1 like most fans these days) For me hes the goat, and i think nancy loomis is very underrated, why do people not show nancy respect! Whats your ranking? lets be respectful! we all love scream, and yes ive got jill last place pretty much

Just a harmless ranking. some positions you might agree, some you may not, and who do you think had the best motive?

u/LonestarGoated87 — 27 days ago

Seeing Roman bridger return in scream 7 was a dream come true. i loved how scott foley still looks so gorgeous. I hope we continue to get more of him as the franchise continues..not as alive but just callbacks and moments tied to him

- My favorite ghostface -

Finally about time a ghostface more hated than Jill Roberts....but is this really the case? I believe marco has more fans than Jill

We know jill is the most hated character in horror history but thats not my point.........reddit theres some passionate jill fans! Are there any fans of marco on reddit!

u/LonestarGoated87 — 2 months ago

FUN FACT: out of all 7 scream films, Scream 4 has the lowest box office financially by far. Its the least succesful scream movie due to fans hating emma roberts. ive never met anyone who likes jill EVER. Most hated character of all time? But she does have fans on reddit

Jill hate is everywhere. You'll never see a character in horror history this hated

Worst is marco though,

Some dream ghostface duos that would mesh will due how similar and connected they were of each other in style. (WITH EXPLANATION BELOW IN BIO)

So these are just my opinions this is based off of ghostfaces that would enjoy working with each other and because of how similar their personalites were. I'm going to a breakdown of why and how (as someone who has explored the franchise ins and outs ....might be long but i will make it entertaining and realistic

  1. Like mother, Like son (Billy and Mrs Loomis) Why this duo would work: Very similar anger and rage, certain level of clumsiness, they are both mom and son that get angry really quick, they have similar features like big bulging eyes, Billy would definitely listen to his mom because he probably feared and respected her, kind of like how he was working for Roman in ways, billy learned from roman, but if mrs loomis was there he could also learn how to find serial killers online, rather than a easy to beat up Stu macher involved. Mrs loomis mixed with her rage and Billys hunter style both being psycho would be fun

  2. The Bloodline Killers (Roman and Jill) - Roman is Jills cousin. And we know that Jill even mentioned Roman in a original script that was changed that she idolized his intelligence. Honestly, Roman alone solo is already basically a death wish for anyone, Roman single handedly accomplished more than all the duos and trios, so now imagine putting jill right by him aka his little cousin who she respected. Roman is basically an alpha in all situations, he manipulates other masterminds like he did billy. Roman would easily manipulate jill, like how jill manipulated charlie. Theres levels to this stuff. They are also so similar because they got get jealous of sidney getting everything. They are highly clever and dangerous. Jill is very cold and calculated. Whereas Roman is the brains and the muscle both. Hes basically everything rolled into one and then some. This combo is unstoppable. Roman would keep tabs on her to make sure shes not trying anything shady, hes always one step ahead and i feel jill would have to listen to roman, or he would easily kill her. Hes smarter, stronger, faster, more superhuman and more manipulative than her. and i feel jill would respect that and fall in line, like billy listening to roman. Roman masterminds Jill to victory and they both get away, roman then could put jill in his stab movie and make her famous like she wanted. in exchange Jill brings roman into the family, since they are blood related and their moms are sisters. Roman is rich famous and he can provide jill with all that. He would probably use Jill to get info on family etc. Jill respects Roman and she knows she cant try anything because he'd get her first. However in reality, they'd just finish sidney and then both get away and he would tell jill not to slip up to cops like she has a habit of doing. TRAIN HER! Roman would be the mastermind of any pairing hes put in. He cannot be manipulated or outsmarted. Roman is the king of all. and Jill and charlie being there by his side equals r.i.p every final girl and final boy.

  3. The Maniacs (Mickey and Amber) - This one really has nothing to do with each other because they are not related family wise..but they do have many similar style and traits that match up. Im not sure who would be the master between mickey and amber maybe both are equal, but they have similar knife stabbing techniques, both are highly dangerous and enjoy being friends with victims, and just look at the way they were demented they have no sense of reality around them. They were also BOTH LOYAL to their partners. How can this not work? Mickey is pretty scary but Amber would likely kick his butt if he tried screwing around, sorry but amber is physically a bigger threat than Mickey. So she might be the mastermind here. All mickey has is speed maybe and hes just too easy to manipulate. im not saying amber is coaching him like mrs loomis guided him, mickey is experienced but his motive is not clever in any way, some say mickey is strong, thats just an illusion hes actually one of the weaker killers and we will get to the another day. I need to glaze ambers superiority as the true master of this specific duo. This duo itself would be so much fun to see onscreen, whether you like them or not, you will be entertained.

  4. The Jokers (Richie and Stu) - This is my fave dream pairing that never happened, out of all the dream duos this is my most wanted. It speaks for itself. Two of the only comedy ghostfaces that made you laugh. They werent scary or even that threatening, they make mistakes and say dumb things thats what makes this so funny, joker personality, who wouldnt want to laugh before death? if you were a victim of these two you'd not be afraid because their charisma would keep you laughing and them constantly arguing or cracking silly jokes. These two are so hilarious and imagining them together is just a dream

Honorable mentions

Ethan/Charlie (We'll call this duo the "The highschool pitbulls"

Jessica/Wayne (Team Technology Beasts)

Jason/Karl (The ones who cant make it to the final act)

Quinn/Marco (Team bulletproof vest)

Whats your dream duo!!!!!!!!!!!!
