Looking to play casual football (soccer) near Uni Stuttgart any recs?

Hey all, I’m starting my Master’s at Uni Stuttgart soon and want to keep playing football casually nothing too serious, just regular kickabouts/pickup games to stay active and meet people.

Heard Stuttgart has decent options for this (uni sports, local groups, pickup games) such as the Hochschulsport (AHS) courses , but have no idea where to start or how registration/signup usually works.

If you play regularly or know of any groups, teams, or meet-ups. Complete beginner to the Stuttgart scene, any pointers appreciated 🙏

Looking for student accommodation near Vaihingen campus / Stuttgart (October intake)

Hi everyone,

I’m moving to Germany this October for my Master's at the University of Stuttgart.

I've been searching for a while now, but I haven't had much luck finding anything suitable through WG-Gesucht. I'm specifically looking for student accommodation or a WG room near the Vaihingen campus or with good transit connections to it).

If anyone is currently looking for a tenant, has a room available, or can recommend reliable alternatives/housing complexes nearby, please let me know or drop a DM.

Would love to connect and discuss!

Masters in Computer Science- TU Dresden vs Stuttgart

TU Dresden and Stuttgart for a Master’s in CS and can’t decide. Would love some outside perspective.

TU Dresden

1 . Has a specialised track in secure computing which is what i want to study .
2. Smaller job market when compared to stuttgart .

Stuttgart

  1. No specialized track — I’d have to pick electives myself
  2. Bigger, stronger job market (lots of automotive/engineering/tech companies nearby)

Basically it’s specialization + curriculum fit vs. flexibility + job prospects. Anyone been in a similar spot or studied at either? How much does a structured track actually matter vs just picking good electives yourself? Any input appreciated!

Masters in CS - Stuttgart vs TU Dresden vs Freiburg ( job prospects and scope )

Got an offer from University of Stuttgart for MSc Computer Science (Service Technology and Engineering major), no other offers yet. Want to specialize in the AI/cybersecurity intersection (ML security, securing AI systems, that kind of thing).

From what I’ve researched: Stuttgart has Cyber Valley (AI research + industry collab with Bosch, Porsche, Max Planck) and strong automotive industry density, plus a security institute, but no dedicated combined AI+security track, you build it from electives. Dresden has named specializations (Secure Computing, Theoretical CS/Symbolic AI) and full “University of Excellence” status, and im awaiting their response . Freiburg has a big AI research name (Frank Hutter/ELLIS) but weaker industry/job market locally, and the professor’s only part-time there now anyway and im awaiting a response from them too.

Question for people who’ve actually studied at or hired from these: how do job prospects and industry connections really compare for someone wanting to break into AI security specifically? Is Stuttgart’s automotive-heavy industry actually useful for AI/security roles, or is that more relevant for embedded/automotive software? Anyone with firsthand experience at any of these, genuinely want the unfiltered take.

Im still in a dilemma on whether to accept and go ahead with my stuttgart admission or wait for replies from Freiburg and Dresden.

I have done my independent research on this and would really like sone advice and insights on this topic . Thanks
