Hi all! I’m about a month away from starting my PhD in biochemistry at a highly ranked university in the United States and I’m starting to doubt how I actually made it here… I’ve been feeling the imposter syndrome building up for a while now but yesterday a professor at my new university told me that I was one of only 3 matriculated students out of 475 that applied and 30 that were interviewed. Since then, I have just felt weird and like there may have been a mistake. I know logically that I deserve this or whatever but I just don’t feel like I do after finding out how many people didn’t get the opportunity. Any advice for how to move past this?
