First time with her elevated bowl
Riley, like a lot of the other GS 's I see here, likes to lay down and eat if her bowl is on the floor. Today she got this. Seems to take to it with no issues.

On our walk in the empty park, Riley went off leash for the first time. 8 or 10 successful recalls followed by one not so good and it was leash on and ealk home. Overall I was proud of her.
These are the same boots my last boy, Atticus wore at 100 pounds.
Riley is 17 weeks and 50 punds but they fit her big ole feet....I think I'm in trouble.
Her vaccines are done. Let the adventures begin!!!
Has anyone used a herding ball with their GS? I'm thinking it could be really good. Just wondering if anyone has experience with one and a GS.
Riley literally begs for the brush on her belly. She'll lay still as long as I brush her. Anywhere else and her patience is limited, her belly and she'll lay there indefinitely.
Can't wait until her puppy vaccines are done and she can go to Ocean Beach in San Diego!!
Sig P365X Macro. The Optic is the Sig Romeo X. I could not be happier with this rig. It's awesome.
Yes, the guys in the photos are my father on the right and grandfather on the left. Both were career police officers.
Does any one else have a Giant that runs marathons in her sleep? Riley does.
Riley loves chewing ice. Like is obsessed with it. If I put a dozen cubes in her bowl, she devours them and looks for more.
She has the normal GS drinks a lot thing going and I know she's teething so I chalk it up to the teething mostly.
Has anyone else experienced this and is it just the teething, or a lifetime thing?
All my dogs have eaten " Just food for dogs" it arrives frozen and is all human grade. Riley is 9 weeks old today and we're transitioning her from the Costco puppy food the breeder used to Science Diet Large Breed Puppy Food.
I am not a huge fan of kibble and am looking for advice for both puppy and adult food for my new GS Riley. She is 9 weeks old today.
Atticus was a mixed breed and my service dog. He was a true joy and will always be missed. We lost him suddenly about 2 months ago. 3 days ago we added Ripley to the family. She'll grow up to be Atticus' successor.
Does anyone have experience with GS as a psychological service dog?
I deal with PTSD and Atticus was a life changer.
We're pretty sure our little girl came to is with fleas...admittedly very few, but they were there. So Ripley and Roo pur 4 year old Chihuahua both got baths yesterday.
She's 8 1/2 weeks old and just came home todsy.
