I booked a ticket from Harpers Ferry to D.C. on the southbound Floridian for later next month. When purchasing the ticket, Amtrak gave me the option of adding my bicycle. I'm concerned, however, that the baggage car (where bikes are checked on the Floridian) will not stop at the platform at Harpers Ferry and I will be unable to check my bike. Does anyone have any experience checking their bike at Harpers Ferry?

So in addition to Baltimore no longer being a guaranteed stop (as a previous post on this sub indicated), it seems that Acela 2275 will no longer be operating for the foreseeable future. This was the train that left Boston just after 5pm on Sundays only and did not make any stops between Providence and New York. Any guesses as to why this is? Also, as a side note, I'm curious if anyone is aware of any other notable schedule changes?
