No holiday pay. Will my employer also ignore the ₱60 wage increase?
I recently learned that the NCR minimum wage will increase by ₱60 this July, with the remaining ₱25 to follow later. While that's good news for many workers, it also made me think about another issue. I'm a regular employee in a private company in Parañaque, yet every time there's a regular holiday and I don't work, the day is deducted from my salary. From what I understand, regular employees are generally entitled to holiday pay on regular holidays, Now I'm wondering: if our company isn't following the holiday pay policy, what assurance do employees have that the additional ₱60 wage increase will also be implemented? what will happened if they didnt follow thru it
