Overcoming social anxiety

I’m a 20 years old uni student and used to be pretty outgoing as a kid, but bullying in primary school made me really self-conscious. I can hold conversations fine, but I constantly worry about how others perceive me, especially in groups. I overanalyse people’s reactions, feel awkward making eye contact and sometimes avoid approaching people because of it.

I also feel awkward being alone in public and struggle doing things by myself, like eating alone when everyone else is with their friends.

I’ve read *The Charisma Myth*, but I feel like my fear of judgement stops me from actually applying what I’ve learned.
Has anyone dealt with something similar? How did you deal with this?

Low single finish

When I hit a head-outside low single, I circle behind them and then collect the other leg to finish.

It works sometimes, but I feel like circling behind gives them too much time to rubber-knee or recover before I can secure the other leg.

Is this generally a suboptimal finish? Should I be looking to finish sooner instead of circling all the way behind?

Japanese wrestling style

I’ve been studying Japanese wrestlers like Yui Susaki and Sakura Onishi and noticed the bounce they use when wrestling from space.

I’ve started using it and find it blends well into my low single, but I’m curious what its actual purpose is and how it’s supposed to be done.

I’m from the UK and haven’t come across anyone who teaches this style of footwork. Anyone here trained in Japan or familiar with how it’s taught?

Blast double advice

I’ve recently had some success with blast doubling from open, but sometimes even if I club and my level is lower and I shoot, I get stuffed or underhooked. I saw some of Jordan Burroughs matches and he often gets unferhooked but is still able to finish. Do I just need ti be more explosive or is there something else to it?
