Visitation dream?

I’ve never considered myself able to connect with the other side, but something bizarre happened to me this week.

I had a very vivid dream about a guy I was in love with for a period of time when I was really young, we had a bit of an on and off again relationship that was never serious. He struggled with addiction and mental health. He kind of treated me like shit to be honest. But I always really cared about him even to this day. We were still acquaintances and on good terms 20 years later. I felt like he developed respect for me as the years went on. We had a great chat about 9 years ago right after I got married.

I woke up drenched in sweat and could not get myself back to sleep because this dream felt so real and I felt super emotional when I woke up. The context of the dream was basically I was running from some sort of danger, there were police I remember. He showed up and “rescued” me, took me to this peaceful cabin in the woods where he was living, and we just spent time hanging out for a few days like old times until it was safe again. It just felt peaceful and happy, to reconnect after all that time. It felt like we were 19 again and all of the feelings when we met were there when I awoke. Then we said our goodbyes in the dream, but in my mind it was still “see you again maybe”. It didn’t feel final. But I remember not actually wanting to say goodbye in that moment.

That morning I received a call that he had been murdered 9 days ago. I had no idea. I’m still in utter shock and this dream is comforting that perhaps he’s at peace and watching out for those he once cared about.. but it’s also blowing my mind that maybe he was truly visiting me before I heard what happened to him. I then took a deep dive into astrology and was blown away at what I read. Apparently we are polar opposites and share the same cosmic frequency. We share a profound telepathic link.

Has anyone managed to have an allergic child cohabitate with a dog without getting really sick? I know it’ll be variable as some are worse than others (I’ve always managed to deal with mine over four decades of owning dogs!). But I’m at a loss on what to do with a child testing positive, we want another pup so bad.

Long story short I have two young kids and one has tested positive for dog allergy. Mostly he develops hives with licking but I don’t notice any significant reactions just being in a room with dogs. Apparently I have always had a dog allergy myself, which I found out after 4 decades of owning dogs! Most recently a husky for 14 years. I always had symptoms off and on, just nothing debilitating. I always assumed it was the outside stuff because I’m also allergic to that too (trees etc). Wheezed a little here and there but never needed asthma treatment in my life.

Looking for others stories and experiences with allergic children and dogs. Did you manage to cohabitate peacefully with measures in place or did your child just get really sick and develop bad asthma? Because of my own experience, I guess I just hope he’ll be similar to me and having the pet will outweigh the manageable symptoms but I’ve seen some horror stories too :(
