6 days post insertion - no bleeding

Technically not Mirena, but Levosert which I was told is just the same in all but name?

I had the actual Mirena for 8 years previously, after my first child. I don’t really remember much about the experience at the beginning but loosely I remember it was a sore insertion, loads of cramping and bleeding for the first week (or more?) and then maybe a few months of progressively lighter periods until eventually they stopped altogether until years later when it was removed.

I’ve since had 2 more kids (5yo and 4mo old) and 6 days ago I had the Levosert inserted.

It was quite uncomfortable going in, and the cramping in the first days was not very nice. But I’ve had almost no bleeding at all? A little bit of red spotting day 1, then tiny bit of brown spotting the next 2 days and since then it’s been pretty much nothing. I’ve only had one period since having my youngest, which was last month and if they’ve returned with any regularity then I would be due again this coming weekend.

For anyone that had a similar first week with the IUS (aka almost no bleeding at all), what happened next for you? Did it kick in later? Did you have more periods? Did you later start more heavy spotting? Did by some miracle you just not get anything at all ever??

I know it’s different for everyone, but this sub is (understandably) full of people experiencing often extreme symptoms, so im just keen to maybe hear from people at the other end of the spectrum? Is it actually possible to get through this basically totally unscathed?

Toy Story - Mighty Mornings?

Is Toy Story likely to be shown in a Mighty Mornings slot do you think?

We have only recently discovered them and were delighted when we got to see GOAT a little while ago as usually cinema kid showings seem insistent on only showing older and not newly released films.

But now I’ve looked and the only film on Mighty Mornings is Smurfs which came out last year!

So many kids desperately want to see the new Toy Story but there are so few young-child friendly viewings across London, I don’t understand why!

Michelin Guide - London

I believe Ssam Ssam is the only Korean BBQ restaurant to have received a Michelin Award (Bib Gourmand) in the UK, and one of only 4 Korean restaurants.

We are planning a celebratory meal here soon, where we are happy to spend and we want to be able to really enjoy ourselves - there will be 3 adults with very healthy appetites and young child.

I have never been to Korean BBQ and while very excited, I’m a bit nervous as I don’t know what I’m doing! We really want to make the most of a special meal out.

I think I get the jist - order the meat, cook the meat, wrap in lettuce, enjoy. But how much is too much to order? We all have very very healthy appetites and want to try basically everything but equally I don’t want to be disrespectful and waste good food!
Are there any must try appetisers? How much should we order for sides? What does a typical order look like? Noodles/rice/veg?

We are pretty sure we want the wagyu selection, and I’m inclined to also get the pork belly. Anything else jump out on this menu?
Has anyone been to Ssam Ssam before?

Thanks in advance!

Sponsors vs Secret Ingredients

Incredibly amused at the moment and felt the need to share.

I’m listening through the off menu back catalog at the moment, and of course current advertising bits for their current sponsors are spliced on to the beginning of all episodes. The last one for me at the moment is the St Pierre Brioche Buns.

Well I just started listening to the Teri Hatcher episode, where the secret ingredient is Brioche Buns 😂

Listening to James go directly from ‘they are great, they elevate the meal!’ to ‘they are terrible, I would rather have no bun’ has really tickled me.

Can’t wait to find the inevitable episode where Greek yoghurt is the victim 🤣 🤣 🤣
