I am considering to move to Paris, Berlin, Madrid but haven't visited any of them yet. Which cities do you prefer living long-term?.

My most important things are good vibe, dating, and belonging feeling. Madrid is good, but I am Viet and not many of them there for some reasons, so not sure if they find it hard to integrate there.

For me the feeling of belonging is important, for example when I was in Vienna, nice city, dating is decent, but I got a lot of cold stares in public, and feeling not so good.

Mình hiện đang sống và làm việc ở Phần Lan. Mọi thứ đều ổn, nhưng mình cảm thấy cuộc sống ở đây khá buồn và hơi khó hòa nhập, nên đang cân nhắc chuyển sang một nước khác vào cuối năm nay.

Hiện tại mình đang xem xét Pháp, Đức và Tây Ban Nha.

Mình thấy cộng đồng người Việt ở Pháp và Đức khá đông, trong khi ở Tây Ban Nha thì ít hơn nhiều. Không biết điều này có phải vì Tây Ban Nha khó hòa nhập hơn đối với người Việt, hay chỉ đơn giản là do ít người chọn sang đó?

Anh chị hoặc các bạn nào đã từng sống hoặc đang sống ở những nước này có thể chia sẻ giúp mình về:

• Mức độ dễ hòa nhập với người bản địa.
• Cuộc sống hằng ngày và văn hóa.
• Cộng đồng người Việt.
• Những ưu và nhược điểm của từng nước.

I want to find a new home, but I’m so indecisive because of the stable job but I know my heart tell me to move out very soon.

For the background, I came here to study and currently work in tech. I’ve been in Finland for a decade. And been in different relationships with amazing Finnish woman.

Finland has his own uniqueness. But I feel it is so difficult here when it comes to different things in life like social life, dating, getting jobs, integration, getting accepted to be part of the society, etc. at times I become more anxious or even depressed, the more winters I’ve been through. I feel except work, there’s not much in life here. I know that some of you might have a fulfilled life but I’m also sure that many of you are in the same situation like me, even for the native.

Finland is a great country with a lot of qualities. I totally agree with that but maybe it’s more true for Finns than for foreigners especially non-white.

I would like to move to the south, but the uncertainty is big considering current job markets around Europe.

I’m sure that many of you here are in the same situation. And maybe some of you have been through it and did something to make your life different. I would love to hear your experience and advise if possible. Thank you in advance!
