Quenepas/Spanish Limes

Quenepas/Spanish Limes

Hay alguien que vende todavía algunas quenepas? Ya sé que son limitas tan tarde en la temporada pero si algunas permanecen por casualidad estaría la más agradecida en serio

Anyone know of people still selling quenepas (the fruit)? I know they’re limited so late in the season, but if there are still some I would be so grateful

Grad Student/GEO Contract Deadline?

Does anyone know when the next contract is expected to be negotiated by? Just thinking about what happens when the current contract expires if there is not already the new contract in place by the start of the semester, will the grad students strike again?

Stoplights Timing, why no sensors?

Wondering why Ann Arbor hasn’t implemented sensors for stoplights? When there are no cars at the perpendicular road but we still get stuck at red lights, a lot of cities have had sensors for years that prevents this stopping for “ghosts” for minutes.

I feel like the long waiting light situation contributes to the frustration of driving in Ann Arbor, and it’s for the worse for pedestrians. I walk daily near one of the lights that stops for ghosts for minutes, and this is also one of those same streets that people fly by the flashing pedestrian signals—-I think the two are related.

People don’t want to stop for pedestrians because they know if it causes them to slow for a red light, the red light won’t be seconds but instead minutes. I would like to think optimistically that people who chose to speed by pedestrians for the sake of time would not risk the ticket/accident if they knew they were only saving seconds and not minutes by making the light.

Just a hypothesis and curious if the timed stoplights have ever been a legitimate topic for discourse here!

Is Apertivo open?

Google and Apple Maps show open + specific hours, but I couldn’t find any press release that said they’re officially open (though I may have missed it—redirect me if they did indeed say something!)
