Pre-Fireworks Dining on July 4, 2026

Not familiar with Stratton food options despite living fairly close by. On July 4th there is a music event that precedes the fireworks, which I’m not interested in but it do want to eat there and then see the free fireworks at 9pm. Will anything be open to support that or are the music event food trucks (paying admission first) the only option?

Towing Car Trailer - R1T Gen 1 DMP Large

I towed a 1987 Land Rover Defender 110 265 miles to VT from Eastern PA yesterday. Used a Featherlite open trailer weighting 1500 lbs, the Landy weighed about 4800 lbs with some cargo. Also had about 500 lbs of cargo in the bed of the Rivian. I kept my speed at 65 MPH or less on the highway and managed to do the trip with 2 charging stops (RAN and Tesla) with 26% remaining at destination. The towing experience was great as usual but this the longest tow I’ve done in the R1T. The navigation system had some issues getting confused about “rerouting” to the same route I was on and changing the charge percentages needed so I used manual charge location selection and things worked out fine. The predictions for range and charge remaining worked well. It would have been faster in an ICE vehicle but I’m glad I went with the Rivian for this run. This trip usually requires only one charging stop with no trailer so adding a single additional stop seemed pretty reasonable given the giant brick I was towing.

After 22k miles (rotated every 5k) the OEM Pirelli AT tires were done. Went with the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Ascent in the same size (as now included on new Rivians I am told) and could not be happier. I expected the quiet compared to worn out tires, but it really is nice! What I did NOT expect is the significantly better on road handling - even compared to when the Pirellis were new, these are much smoother, have better cornering and don’t feel like they are getting overworked by the vehicle.
