Pancreas is finally shot

I finally got an appointment at a university hospital, best in the state for pancreas,to go under and have a endoscopy. It took 3 months for my shit insurance to cover it. The doctor was going to remove cysts but didn’t do it and straight up told me it’s because of alcohol and stop wasting his time, he was annoyed and cold.

Somehow my liver and kidneys are fine. The photos are pretty horrifying. Im not sure what the next move is. No more vodka, just beer so I don’t get withdrawals. Place near me can’t sell beer in a refrigerator so warm beer it is 🪑

pancreatic calcification

I’ve had chronic pancreatitis for 8 years now, I am 38 years old. I’ve tried everything you can think of and have read posts on here religiously. I finally got in with the best guy in the state after months of waiting /begging ( I have shit insurance that wouldn’t cover the visit) but he got me in after being persistent.

Diagnosis-

“PANCREAS: Stable coarse pancreatic calcifications with dilatation of the main pancreatic duct measuring up to 7mm. surrounding inflammatory changes or peripancreatic fluid collection.

I’m currently back in the hospital because it’s becoming impossible to eat or drink without massive flare up’s. I’m not asking for medical advice but I wonder if that thing in my duct can be removed? The doctor pretty much wrote me off and said maybe it will pass….it hasn’t passed in 8 years. I’m just so frustrated because I went from touring around the world to being stuck in the hospital every other week.

Hospital hopping

I’m 38 and I’d had chronic pancreatitis since I was 30. I simply can’t metabolize alcohol anymore, it just goes through me. I was a handle a day vodka drinker for years but I was forced to move to PBR or any light beer because of the pain, my stomach is ripped. 15 these days…hate having to go piss.

I Ama’d from hospital #1 today because they treated me like a convict, I’m courteous and you wouldn’t even know I was drunk but i vomiting blood and pushing the button and nobody would come. When I said I was leaving of course they wanted me to stay. They also didn’t give me any comfort even though I’m on the floor in pain, I have zero history with drugs. When I left the doctor had the audacity to say “don’t come back for this” mother fucked whole vine In there was awful

I drove and hour and am now at Valley hospital in Paramus Nj, it’s an absolute palace with the best employees. I can finally stand up and don’t feel like dying. Pancreas surgery next week anyone ever have it before. Hold i don’t croak
