Gorgeous shot from The Odyssey

I just think is such a stunning shot and am hoping the film will be filled with them. Shooting on location with film is such a beautiful thing.

I'm paraphrasing/stealing from someone on social media, but I thought they put it succinctly: A film made by humans, physically cut by humans, photochemically color timed by humans, and then projected by a human in IMAX 70MM. One of the best demonstrations of "screw AI filmmaking".

'Odyssey Tickets' on Google trends compared to other films

I am NOT trying to read into this more than needed, but I found this interesting. I compared 'Odyssey Tickets' on Google trends to other upcoming movies ("Toy Story tickets", "Dune tickets", etc.), and The Odyssey is way ahead of the pack.

The peak you see was the trailer day naturally, but even before that, it had random days where it would spike higher than the others, and it's maintained higher searches for a couple weeks now as it continues being talked about.

Again, I don't think this is a perfect predictor of box office or anything ("Spider-Man tickets" has less searches than other films and that will obviously be a big hit), but what's clear is that discourse about the movie is really just making more people aware and interested in seeing it. I'm looking forward to tickets going on sale (probably end of this month or early June), as I think interest level will become apparent.

Curious if others have thoughts?

Tom Holland biceps

It's beautiful how he simply just bends his arm, and his bicep is literally bursting at the seams of his shirt sleeve.

In the Colbert interview, Nolan said, "He’s amazing. I’ve not worked with him before, but I would love to work with him again. I mean, he’s just an incredible talent. He’s so, so great.”

I love to hear it. I think Tom is a phenomenal actor. Some people don't realize just how much he got shafted with Cherry and The Crowded Room. He was very, very good, but the projects around him were just a mess.

I could see Nolan working very well with Tom on a lot of different kinds of projects.

Tom Holland recently casually said in an interview "now that I'm not filming for the rest of the year..."

Secret Wars begins filming in August I've heard. So is it actually possible he's not doing that movie? I know there is an opportunity to use the other Spider-Men too, and I think it's great, but Tom is my favorite of the bunch, and he is the MCU Spider-Man, so surely he needs to be in a lead role in that story.

Tom sometimes speaks out of his butt and/or exaggerates, so I'm hoping he didn't mean this literally. But as a fan of his, I'm just hoping for some reassurance that he will definitely be in Secret Wars... Right?
