Say the entirety of the Ocean had a maximum depth of the Marianna Trench. How powerful would a detonation have to be exposed the sea floor with no water in sight for 10 seconds?

The most destructive natural force on Earth is not so easily overpowered by a pea sized nuke

You have to understand the energy release of a nuclear bomb does not create a physical pushing force. It releases energy that creates a massive bubble which is immediately flattened under extreme hydrostatic pressure. (At the bottom of the Marianna Trench that pressure would absolutely dwarf that of any nuke by comparison and that's a massive understatement)

Even if the 1.2 Mt were converted into lifting seawater, lifting just 10¹² kg of water by 100 m would require by rough calculation:

≈ 9.8 × 10¹⁴ J

The problem is that the ocean contains vastly more water than that, and a nuclear blast translates very poorly to the rather specific physical pushing motion needed to make a that kind of opening. ESPECIALLY underwater.

Underwater explosions are vastly less powerful than atmospheric ones because unlike air water absorbs and dampens shockwaves/thermal energy. Any forced opening or created space is immediately filled because water at that depth is phenomenally catastrophically unfathomably heavy.

At best you'd get an absolutely gargantuan bubble that'd last a fraction of a second before immediately being crushed like a depressurized submarine. There's no weapon on Earth capable of producing the kind of force required to create any lasting void of space before being immediately filled in.

Here's a way more in depth explanation of just how little impact a 1.2 megaton explosion would have roughly 6.8 miles underwater. At that depth it would take at least a TERATON to create that kind of opening because that's literally billions of metric tons of water pushing back AND absorbing any and all external forces exerted against it.

What does mod support mean for the future of Space Marine 2? I honestly don't know how modding applies to console so please help a brother out and educate me. What freedoms or limitations will we have?

For the first time I now understand why people keep asking for level locks on hard strats...

I couldn't figure out how to properly share my pain so here's this image.

Cherno would've rocked Leatherbacks shit in a fair fight and he knew it. Heres my full honest take on the matter. (Art by KidneyShake)

If Gypsy could stagger him? Cherno would be a guaranteed death sentence not only by her striking power but ridiculous leverage to boot. Never forget it took two Cat IVs to finish her off. Even after significant damage from Otachi she held out for a solid minute before Leatherback finally put her down due to nothing but sheer resilience. I heavily doubt Leatherback would've just sat and watched Otachi get beaten half to shit before running that EMP given he already knew he could short circuit Striker easily. He was quite literally just sitting there and only set it off after visibly sitting up seeing Striker bring out her cannons. So he probably knew Otachi probably wouldn't survive that salvo. So in my heart of hearts I think Leatherback had literally just turned around to see Otachi nearly get blown to kingdom come. Plausibly meaning that in the time it took to finish off Cherno, Otachi would've already been dead had she held out a little longer. "Hang on Cherno! We're comin!", Cherno stayed standing long enough Leatherback realized he genuinely had to get her off her feet and find the cockpit or she wouldn't go down in time to help Otachi. They HAD to Jump Cherno to guarantee it's destruction. I WILL die on this hill. She is the Pacific Defense Wall walking. She is the Blunt Force Electrocutioner. She is Cherno Alpha. Remember her name fellas. She earned it.

Saber-"Shoot to regain contested health" The situation:

They should've just given us passive healing. My reasoning being Titus fully capable of killing Extremis on his own after extensive surgery from a fatal injury. Practically fresh off the operating table and could fight just as well if not better than his squad who was already at 100%

Speaking of visual representation for certain perks. Heroic one handed Thunder Hammer Idea. Increased Melee reach.

A bit major on the cosmetic side but this image was genuinely too perfect not to apply to my earlier post.

Idea. Ranged weapons with visual representation for certain perks. For example. The Heroics Heavy Bolter with enhanced parry.

Details like chains, pendants, purity seals, writing/engraving, laser sights/iron sites, scopes, mag/clip size and type, barrel size and type, grips/handles, and types of bayonet attachments.

What we should've gotten for the Sniper Ultra Grind instead an extendable wifi router

Also worth mentioning we absolutely should've had the Deathwatch Iron Halo available for Bulwark and Tactical the fact we didn't was quite underwhelming ngl

They absolutely nailed this great axe. 100% could not have picked a better look

Maybe could've been a tad bit more ornate but other than that I have no complaints. What are y'all's thoughts?

What's everyones thoughts on chapter specific or in general more versions of the black and red capes?

Personally I was thinking something simple like having the option to have a silver version of the gold trim from the black cape on the red cape
