Bad FPS
I updated to 5 expecting to have fun but found that i'm limited to 20FPS, I would get 150-200+ on v4. I reset everything to default and still can't get over 20FPS now. Everything is working fine on my other games and v4 was fine last night.
Game is unplayable like this. I opened an issue ticket already.
Anyone else run into this?

In Megapixels we trust
I've reached the point on my photography trek that i'm looking for extreme details in highly cropped photos. This comes from airshow pics where I want to see the pilot's face or details in the cockpit as they fly by. This lends itself to details in other pictures where I can't be up close and zoom is a necessity.
Both pictures taken with a Canon 100-500L lens.
Both pictures were shot in raw and only cropped in post processing.
The picture on the left was taken with a Canon R5 mkII which is 45 megapixels.
The picture on the right was taken with a Canon R8 which is 24.2 megapixels.
Ignore the color difference caused by different time of day and overcast vs sunny. The difference in details is clear. The clarity of the bird wire on the top, the nuts and bolts, the welds and straps are all much clearer with the R5. This is where Megapixels come into play.

No permission to backup base
My son built our base when the game released last year. He hasn't played since September or so and doesn't really care to. I've kept the base running all this time, made improvements and changes and still play on occasion. My server is shutting down soon and I just tried to run the backup tool and get a "You don't have permission" notice.
I pocketed my thopter, packed up the other vehicles and I guess will just hope for the best on the other side.
I did message funcom to see what they say, I haven't seen a similar situation for anyone else.

Stage 2 headed to orbit
Caught this with my telescope. It was cool to see stars twinkling in the background and the stage sep. This was my fourth flight with 4 pods, 4 bears and 4 stacks of cash. Even though I already got the Steam achievement I still send them up.
