Final wishes for BO7 zombies.

I have absolutely loved this games life cycle, as someone who isn’t really a fan of modern CoDs, BO7 is something that absolutely blew all my expectations out of the water. These three final wishes I’d like to see, aren’t deal breakers for me. With Rex Infernus, I can happily say that BO7 is a great zombies experience and I’d recommend it to anyone.

- I’d really like to see a handful of scorestreaks be restructured into just regular, box exclusive weapons, maybe even Ultra Rarity. I really like weapons like the War Machine, Death Machine, Combat Bow etc, but I often don’t find myself using them because they’re a bit gimmicky. Hell I don’t really use any scorestreaks at that. I think making these weapons that can be treated as just normal weapons in your inventory, ability to be pack-a-punch’d, and get ammo mod would be far more enjoyable and allow for a really diverse box. Obviously they’d have to be changed quite a bit because they are very powerful, but in my opinion, would probably get more use. Just imagine being able to pap the War Machine again!

- I’d like to see two new relics that added Doppleghast’s, Amalgam’s, and Abominations. Specifically, one relic that added Doppleghast’s to your map maybe starting round 15 onward and another that add Amalgam’s and/or Abomination’s to your map starting round 30 onward. I know we have the Dragon Egg Relic but it is a bit random with what you get, and I personally feel like the three listed enemy types fit the overall Dark Aether enemy pool as persistent enemies throughout the realm. I’d much rather fight an Amalgam on Astra Malorum over a Zursa. On top of that, I’m sure I speak for like five people but I loved the overall chaos of some of the BO6 maps, like The Tomb, where in the higher rounds it’s just non stop shit attacking you, Shock Mimic’s, Doppleghast’s, and Amalgam as well as just regular zombies. And with these being relics, it’s entirely optional and for those insane individuals like myself. I personally just don’t enjoy the Dragon Egg relic, but I’m sure I’m in the minority. I also just really like Dopples and Amalgams lol.

- Lastly, I’ve brought this up before as I’m sure many other people have, and if this happens it honesty removes my second point, but I’d love to see the BO6 maps ported into BO7 as a final hoorah. Even if they’re just one for one ports with not much changed outside the wall and box weapons being all from BO7 (I imagine if they do port these maps over, that’s probably what would happen given it would be a lot of balancing for all the BO6 weapons). I have faith this may happen at some point whether it’s S6 or like a little update for 115 day next year. But it also may not, but playing cursed on these maps would be absolutely amazing.

All in all, absolutely love BO7 zombies and I cannot wait for Rex Infernus!

BO6 carry forward potential.

As BO7's life cycle slowly comes to its conclusion, I have recently had some thoughts about carry forward. I will admit, I was one of the people who annoyingly said its something we shouldn't get. My reasoning for this is that, one of my favorite things about Call of Duty in general is replaying old games from time to time and getting to re-experience everything those games had to offer. As someone who mainly plays zombies, and someone who actually loved BO6 Zombies, I did not want to see that game die and have all its core content ported into the next.

With that being said, I actually don't enjoy returning to BO6. Its clear this game that game is nearly abandoned by Treyarch. On top of that, BO7 has so many QoL features that hurt the overall experience of BO6 now. So here is why I both believe we will see at the very least, BO6 maps ported into BO7, how I'd like to see it handled, and then a few smaller updates for BO7 I'd like to see.

For starters, carry forward was something that was clearly planned from the jump, meaning Treyarch already started gearing up for this content to be added. Its clear a large majority of the community would like to see these maps ported over and Treyarch also pays attention. I don't think these topics go unnoticed. I *personally* think we will get this maps added into Season 6. We know we're getting the final ,map in Season 5 Reloaded, meaning there will be no new map to round out this games Season finale. I think this is where Treyarch will throw the BO6 maps. Treyarch has built such an amazing community and with both Totenriech and Kowakujo being amazing, and massively successful maps, *AND* with this being the last zombies game until possibly 2029, its only fair/right for this game to go out with a bang. On top of all that, BO6 and BO7 are so closely tied together that, to me, they feel like two halves of a greater whole. So... I believe we will see Liberty Falls, Terminus, and Citadelle Des Morts, at the start of Season 6, and then The Tomb, Shattered Veil, and Reckoning during Season 6 Reloaded. Of course this may very well not happen, but I don't see a world where Treyarch doesn't bless this game with one last massive content update, especially with how focused they've been on the overall state of the game, and the community. Now I'd like to explain my personal thoughts on how I'd like to see this implemented.

For me, I do not want to see every single BO6 weapon ported over, and that may very well be a hot take but let me explain. I think it would be far more interesting to have each map have a handful of BO6 weapons that act more like "legacy" weapons, with automatic Ultra Rarity. I think having every single BO6 weapon on top of all BO7 weapons would just make the game feel bloated, especially for those who prefer Cursed mode it could take ages to get the weapons you want. However, if they go down the route of just porting all BO6 weapons, it is what it is.

-Liberty Falls: XM4 and dual wield GS45s (act as a better option for this map specifically to the 1911s)

-Terminus: AEK-973 and Marine SP

-Citadelle Des Morts: Saug, Maelstrom, Krig C

-The Tomb: TR2, Feng 82, PP-919

-Shattered Veil: CR-56 AMAX, Ladra

-Reckoning: FFAR 1, LC10, PML 5.56, ABR A1 (final al map, should get the most to me)

My way for picking these weapons are mainly what weapons came out during the season the map released, giving players a *slight* incentive to return to base BO6 if there is a weapon you'd really like to use. I also didn't include the Olympia or Merrick 556 because I imagine they'll be in the final BO7 map. I also think the wall-buys should be all BO7 weapons, but with the game coming to a close, please make some of these wall-buys DLC weapons.

My final closing thoughts and wants:

I love BO7 zombies, it is easily the most fun, most I have grinded zombies since BO3. This game is near perfect to me and I truly hope Treyarch does not entirely abandon it. I personally believe a Zombies Chronicles II or Dark Aether Chronicles would do insanely well for this game. I think having Dark Ather-fied versions of maps would work really well, I don't really have any deep thoughts and what but just off the top of my head, Der Reise/The Giant, Der Eisendrache, Gorod Korvi, Zetsubou no Shima, Voyage of Despair, IX, Die Maschine, and Maur der Toten. Add some new perks and some legacy weapons from each game with the corresponding map.

Lastly, *IF* none of this happens I still think BO7 is something near perfect for me. I will be playing this game for years to come. These are things I'd just like to see as I am someone who really only buys Treyarch games, and I have no interest in MW4 or whatever Sledgehammer is making. I really only care for zombies but I do enjoy in BO7s multiplayer. ONE thing I would really like them to add.. Is the ability to turn off the pick up notifications, I really can't stand seeing "50 Salvage" or "Armor Plate", just feels so unnecessary. Maybe bundle it with the Pick-Up Prompt notification, so if you have that off it turns off the notification you get from ACTUALLY PICKING THE DAMN STUFF UP.. but minor gripe! Long post, would love to see what everyone else thinks/wants!

Future Lords of the Fallen & CI Games.. games will be digital only.

While this doesn’t surprise me, unfortunately, I really do hope they plan on maintaining a physical release for LotF2. I see he says “we’re still planning” but that wording does worry me. I still buy all my games physically and will continue to do so until the unfortunate end. If LotF2 does not release physically however, it’ll be DOA for me personally.

Future of BO7 Zombies.

With Kowakujō being the penultimate map, with one map left I will say, personally, BO7 has been my favorite zombies game since BO3. While that may be a hot take, I have enjoyed it. The maps, characters, EE's, etc. I really hope Treyarch goes out with a massive bang for the finale, especially since this will more than likely be our last zombies map until potentially 2028. Here are a few of my wishes:

-The final map to feel like a finale: I'm sure this map will be will more than likely set up whatever Treyarch is cooking up next, but I would like for it to still feel very conclusive. I don't want this game to feel end up being some massive side story (kinda like BO6..), that just sets up the real next thing. I would like for the finale to end this chapter, regardless of what it sets up.

-New features: Continuing with what we have gotten in recent maps, I'd like to see more map exclusive gear and streaks. Some may disagree, but I think were due for a new elite, and I would like this map to have both a new elite and special enemy. And lastly with this map being the last one, I think it would be nice to have a really overpowered wonder weapon to round out the seasons.

-Weapons: Now I'm sure we'll be getting at least one new legacy weapon into the map, that being either the Olympia or M14 but I'd like to play around with this. Since Treyarch worked on Vanguard Zombies, I would really love to seem some ports from there. The ones I'd like to see the most are the STG-44, Combat Shotgun, M1928, and the MG42. That being wishful thinking, I wouldn't mind a handful of BO6 weapons as "legacy" weapons. These being the FFAR 1, Essex Model 07, AK-74 (with various attachments to make it more like an RPK), and of course the Merrick 556 (M14) and Olympia.

-BO6 carry forward maps: I really do hope Treyarch does this. I do enjoy BO6 Zombies, but BO7 has so many QoL features and overall gameplay features that I, and clearly many people would like to see in the BO6 maps. Since these two stories are so closely tied together, it would be nice to have them all under one roof. Even if the only real changes to them would be making the various wall-buys and boxes have BO7 weapons, but you could go a step further and have each of the 6 BO6 maps have their own "legacy" weapons unique to the box or as a ultra rarity wall-buy.

That's all I got for now, curious to see what people think and what they would like for the end of this game.

Release date assumption.

I truly believe the sequel will release this year. CI Games seems to have doubled down on the 2026 release date, and now with SGF they’ve given a release window. I don’t think they would’ve done that if they plan on delaying the game until next year. I think they more-so wanted to see when everything else is releasing to then lock in their release date, which I think will be in October. Gears of War is on the 6th and Modern Warfare is on the 23rd. I think either the 2nd of October to release before those two, or at the very end on the 30th right before Halloween. Just my prediction! If the game gets delayed then I will understand, but it seems to be in a great place and it’s easily my most anticipated game of the year!

If Fromsoft announced a new DLC…

What would you want it to be about? I got this idea from the newly announced Witcher 3 expansion, for a 14? 15 year old game? So if From randomly announced a new DLC for DS3, where could they go and what would it be about? I know the game is pretty conclusive in general but this is simply just for fun.

I haven’t played Dark Souls III since 2020…

Dark Souls 3 used to be one of my favorite games, ever, and it didn’t come close. Between Dark Souls 3 in 2016, and Monster Hunter World in 2018, those are the two games I mainly played. Of course I played other games but those are the two I returned to the most, especially, DS3. However with the announcement of the PS5 followed by the Demon’s Souls Remake, I knew that would be my next big game. Once I got a PS5 in late 2020 as well as DeS, I rarely touched any other souls game until Elden Ring, and then after Elden Ring dropped that’s basically all I played in terms of souls games.

Yet the other day I was doing some reorganization and found my old DS3 PS4 case and decided to pop the bad boy in and start a fresh character, and my God, have I missed this game. From the gameplay, the world, the music, the bosses, I just hit the Abyss Watchers and nearly teared up. Years of Elden Ring, stuff isn’t much of a challenge but I still get the thrill of going through these areas, being a loot goblin, killing every enemy. As I’m playing all I can think about is “what build should I do next?”. I can’t believe I allowed myself to put this game down for so many years…?

When I first played the game, I remember my least favorite aspect was the armor selection. Everything felt bland and “normal” outside the fan favorite sets. Yet, this time, maybe cause I’m 6 years older lol, I find this sets, charming? Not sure if that’s the word for it but still. Something feels satisfying killing the Abyss Watchers with the Hard Leather set and a Bastard Sword. It’s not flashy, it’s not all that defensive, but it feels good.
I remember seeing a rumor or “leak” of a remaster, but I ask, why? This game looks amazing and runs perfectly on PS5 and I’m sure XSX & PC. Sure it has some wonky textures here and there, still a bit of bugs but nothing immersion breaking. I took a screen shot of DS3 atop the tower above Firelink facing towards the snowy mountains, and another in ER when you first enter Lirunia, and sent them to my gf and she replied with “is that not the same game?” She’s not someone to play these type of games but it shows that DS3 has aged like wine in my opinion.

All in all, I’ve missed this game and I’m mad at myself for letting it go so long without playing it. Fucking phenomenal piece of art Fromsoft crafted.

CI Games ends partnership with Epic Games.

Seen this been going around Twitter all morning, seems legit? If anything this seems like nothing but a pure positive for the playerbase. Hopefully this doesn’t delay its release date to beyond this year though. Good news regardless!

Recent update increased the amount of social currency rewards by quite a bit.

Honestly this is nice to see, I was genuinely expecting like 5-7 whenever I was reading the patch notes. I think for enemy based ones, not tied to online, it’s 10? I killed a normal Womb of Despair enemy and it gave me 10 Plucked Eyeballs. This is a nice change for those trying to get all tincts & armor sets.

I remember there was a rumor/leak before BO7 launched about BO6 maps eventually being ported over. Since carry forward was canceled, I actually highly doubt we’ll seem, which sucks cause BO6 is very buggy right now.

However, if by some chance we do get them, the number one change I’d like to see is have their sky boxes change to fit the Dark Aether. Imagine Liberty Falls but with Ashes skybox?? It would be much cooler, like seeing this areas being pulled into the Dark Aether rather than just one for one ports, and I imagine that would be a pretty easy addition for the team to do, though I don’t know much about game development so excuse me if that’s sound extremely ignorant.

On the topic of carry forward, seeing that we have “Legacy Weapons” returning, I’m pretty sure they will all just be BO6 guns, (PPSH, M14, Olympia) with slight reskins, the MP40 has a more worn look to it in BO7. Another gun they could add is the STG44, the Model L has a blueprint in BO6 called Warrior’s Blood, that’s just an STG skin. This could easily be ported over as well and slightly reskinned to just look like a normal STG.
