Serious question btw, help me choose

I'm getting some new rats to add to my group, and one of them has red eyes. Now, I don't care at all, I love all colours, patterns and types of rats. However, my mom, who this rat was originally for (she was gonna get "her own" rat in my group) is very against it. She says she won't even be able to look at him because she's gonna feel so bad for him. I tried to encourage her and say she will love him once she meets him and stuff like that, but she's convinced she won't be able to handle being around him because of his red eyes.

I feel super bad, this was supposed to be something fun and something that would make her happy, and now she's just sad and disappointed. She keeps telling me about her old rat she had, who was also white with red eyes. And she keeps telling me how she was super sweet as a baby and then started biting because of her poor eyesight.

I keep telling her that not all rats are the same, and that just because her red eyed rat was biting everyone doesn't mean this one will, but she's convinced that she won't be able to be around the new rat without feeling sadness for him.

Now to the questions:

- How bad eyesight do they actually have compared to other rats?

- Are they actually more prone to biting or aggressive behaviour?

- What do i tell my mom to make her wanna be around him?

- Is there anything I should think about when owning a red eyed rat, that i wouldn't have to think about with black eyed rats?

I'm in desperate need of money atm. I have no job, and I can't work due to disability.

I been thinking about emailing some places and maybe get to have a small art exhibition with my drawings somewhere (most likely the local library) for a pretty long time, just for fun 🤷🏻

And now that I'm so short on money, I was wondering if it would be possible to sell these kinda drawings for a couple dollars each during that exhibition? I'm no artist, and i only been drawing for a couple years, and it's only ever been for fun. But I feel like most people have a couple dollars to spare, so maybe it would be possible? I mean dollars add up, if i manage to sell 10 drawings that's 20 dollars, and that's enough for my medication AND food for my pet.

I never even considered selling anything art related, because i feel like it's so amateur like, and no one would actually *want* any of it. But like I said, maybe if i sold them for a couple dollars people would buy some? I just really need money
